Outfit Ideas: Fashionable Maternity

Finding maternity clothes I would willingly wear in public has proved to be more difficult this time around, then with my last pregnancy in 2006/2007. Maybe I’m just more picky this time around or maybe it’s because the trends are very much NOT maternity friendly, but fashioning my growing bump has been a chore!

It’s getting warmer though and I’m starting to look for my tees and tanks in my wardrobe that will still fit over my belly. Being around 18 weeks pregnant at this point, a lot of non-maternity items just aren’t stretching over my belly anymore, despite my best efforts.

  1. I was eyeing that Heidi Klum pair! I think I need to find somewhere that carries them in-store so that I can try them on. I’ve never shopped for maternity before. I’m just entering my second trimester but already my jeans aren’t very comfy. It’s definitely a hard time to be fashionable and pregnant with flared legs being (thankfully) out of style.

    For shirts I’m already stocking up on Old Navy tops. I normally wear a size small (their sizes run so huge!) so a size Large is a dress on me at this point.

    I’m so thankful I’ll be my biggest in summer and can rock maxi dresses and such when I’m huge.

  3. What great looking maternity clothes. I see so many pregnant ladies out and about in frumpy clothes, it is nice to know you can still look great during pregnancy.
