I got the opportunity to try ORLY Color AMPโD, a new collection of 36 long-lasting nail lacquers. I chose “Art Walks”, a cool creme blue and “La La Land”, a perfect spring time mint green.
Orly Color AMP’D is infused with a new technology that promises to be “flexible”, self correct smudges while drying and doesn’t need a UV light to dry yet still leaves you with a salon-quality manicure at home in just two easy steps.
The Flexible Color and Flexible Sealcoat together, promise to give you at least a week of wear, so I was curious to see if it would actually hold up. Above you can see my nails polished with two coats of the Flexible Color (La La Land on 8 nails and Art Walks on two accent nails – two great spring nail polish colors) followed by 1 coat of the Flexible Sealcoat.
After exactly 7 days of being very hard on my nails (washing dishes without gloves, giving children baths, gardening, cooking, laundry, etc) this is how my nails held up…
As you can see some of my nails are still perfect with absolutely no chips while others (mainly my pointer fingers and middle fingers) did not hold up as well. Overall, I would say that is quite impressive and this nail polish could infact last a week with no chips. I could have touched up chips around day 5 and kept this manicure looking perfect for the full week, but I wanted to see how it would look after 1 week with no touch ups. If you aren’t as hard on your nails as I am or you take a few seconds to fix a tiny chip here or there, you can most likely get more than a week of wear from this nail polish.
Flexible Colors (36 to choose from!) and the Flexible Sealcoat are $9.99. You can also get a “Launch Kit” containing a Flexible Color and Flexible Sealcoat together for only $14.99.
