Have you been seeing red lately? It’s all over Hollywood with the hottest young starlets brandishing red-hot tresses.
I used to view red as a cozy warm winter color, but the punchy hues I’ve been seeing on the red carpets lately have changed my prejudice and opened my mind. The contrast of red against the vibrant colors of spring and summer are becoming more and more appealing, and starlets are brandishing the hue left and right.
The Wella Professionals Global Creative Team came together and based their newest hue off of the colors of seduction, passion and sensation. They have dubbed this creation: PASSIONISTA. With red being the symbolic color of love I can definitely see the tie-in. “I wanted to capture the moment and the strength in the hair ” Josh Wood of the Global Creative team remarks.
Wella is encouraging stylists to take inspiration from this runway creation and embrace this trend of passionate red we’re seeing in Hollywood and on the catwalk.
From now until June 30th 2011, hair artists will have a chance to showcase their creations among the hair elite in the Wella Professionals Trend Vision 2011. I love the red hair of Scarlet. It’s short yet sexy and adding up the color red makes it more worth of a second look. Though I never had my hair colored ever reading your post, I have to reconsider. ;)
