New Ways to Organize the New Year
One of the best things about January 1 is the opportunity to start a new calendar or date book. There is something fresh and exciting about a new, blank calendar; it’s so full of opportunity and potential! Despite being a big fan of MobileMe.com and being hopelessly attached to my iPad and iPhone for all my data, I still love keeping a hard calendar or date book. And the best part is with an old fashioned calendar, you have backup in the event of a technical disaster. Here is a sampling of some of the cool calendars for busy moms and housewives:
Mom’s Plan It Calendar

The Original Planning Calendar for Moms!
A favorite among moms and kids, The Mom’s Plan It 17-month 2011 Calendar is a must-have for busy, multi-tasking moms, everywhere. It allows you to track up to 5 family members’ schedules; complete with everything from parents’ and kids’ contacts, as well as 442 fun stickers to remind you of important appointments and events.
Family Tracker

Family Tracker is a new line of smart, timesaving calendars and schedule accessories designed around family life and use. Their products are designed to handle multiple schedules and family life on the go using functional designs with pre-printed features, family life-styled layouts, color guides and helpful info areas to make schedules, activities, to-do’s, plan ahead needs, and contact information stand out and be easily referenced. All to let you manage your time more easily.
Another cool product in the Family Tracker family is the Baby Tracker:

Baby Tracker® makes it easy to track and monitor a baby’s activities, schedules and needs. Smart, eye-catching designs combined with daily recording charts, create an easy-to-capture, easy-to-read visible snapshot of baby’s day. Each Baby Tracker product is customized to fit into your world, track important activities by age group and work in a variety of child care scenarios. Additionally, there are important reference pages like contact lists, health facts and emergency forms so all of baby’s need-to-know information is at your fingertips.
If you prefer a more traditional, purse friendly datebook, you can’t go wrong with a Filofax (Filofaxusa.com). Offering a wide variety of sizes and style, this timeless classic will keep you chic and organized.

How do you keep your day and your life organized? Are you a technology junkie and keep everything on-line or do you still like the old fashioned daily journal? Send us a comment and let us know.
Love the Mom’s Plan it Line but they have a lot of unhappy customers this year (if you look at their website under the weekly magnetic one). After 4-5 years they removed the dates from the weekly calendar. I have to write in the dates (no, I’m not kidding). I sent a note to the manufacturer and left a note on the website along with all of the other unhappy customers. :( Hopefully they change it back for 2012! I’m also glad I’m not alone in going “what, no dates?”
I bought the coolest framed glass calendar from Costco that can be used with magnets and dry erase. It looks like beautiful art work not just a everyday trashy looking calendar. The nice thing is it’s kid friendly and they can write their dates on it also.
Keep an eye out in your costco this year. They are suppose to make it around the whole USA in 2011
