New Labeling Guidelines for Sun Care Products Coming in June
In an effort to make buying sun care products easier and more straight forward, SPF package labeling will be changing on June 8. The packaging updates come courtesy of new FDA guidelines for sun care, and the handy infographic from Olay, above, will help you understand the new format.

Basically, the new guidelines will help you get the most out of your sun care products and enable you to make informed purchasing decisions about the SPF products that are right for you.

I think the new guidelines will simplify labeling which can be very confusing such as prior readings such as water proof and , sweat resistant . If a sunscreen product is water resistant, it can be placed on the label but it should be combined with the effective (40 or 80 minutes). That’s good information.
