  6. So many things remind me of my dad. He passed when I was 12 but we used to eat Hot Links together all the time. He smelled like Old Spice and his hair was greasy from Three Flowers. He loved to drink beer and play guitar. I miss him so much.

  7. One thing I remember about my father is his character. Everyone one who knew him respected him. He always told me you must mantain a honest character that way no one will think ill of you. I have a very strong character, loyal, my word is my word and stand by my beliefs.

I shared the contest with over 400 friends on FB. I also am a fan of Nautica on FB. I am a subscriber of The Fashionable Housewife via email and RSS. Those watches remind me of my dad. I would def give those watches to him for Father’s Day. =)

  12. One trait I get from my dad is that we both would rather be alone or with just a small group when around big crowds. We’re both kind of “loners.” LOL!

  13. I didn’t have a dad around, but I had a neighbor whom I adored. He was very good to me & my siblings. He was kind and good natured, very friendly, always smiling. I would like to think I learned some of those traits from him. He was a great example of what a dad should be like! I am grateful for his memory. I used his first name as the middle name of one of my sons.

  14. Any time I hear an “Oldies” (60’s-80’s) song it reminds me of my dad. He LOVES them and really “rocks out” when he turns them on. Thanks for the chance!!

  18. I definitely inherited my dad’s sense of humor. We’re both sarcastic, like stupid or dirty jokes, and love to laugh all the time. Half our conversations are reminiscing about hilarious times together.

  19. The best trait I have inherited from my father is his sharp wit and puns. I have always loved that he could crack up anyone around him. I thank him for that.

  20. One of the things that my father has that I must admit I do too is that he has a pretty good sense of direction.

  21. One trait that reminds me of my Dad–he loves his family so much. If there’s a grandpa who’s prouder of his grandkids, I don’t know what it would be!! Our family is so blessed.

  22. One trait that reminds me of my dad is shyness. And I definitely got that trait from him

  23. The one characteristic I inherited from my father is calmness. He never got upset. You could say “Dad I wrecked the car and he would say well ok”. I also have this trait.

  24. I can not say that I remember much about my father as he passed away when I was only 6, but I have seen photos, and my brother looks almost identical to him in his photos. I remember he used to work all of the time and sometimes on the weekend he would buy us pizza from pizza hut, so that kind of reminds me of him. I would love to win this for my hubby. He is a great father.

  25. I would have to say I have my father’s features especially his nose. I also am just like him as far as always being early for appointments.

  26. My Dad is the most selfless person I know of. He loves to talk…that’s for sure and he is constantly doing things for others. I most definitely got my best traits from him. I too love to talk and try my hardest to be there when others are in need. :)

  27. Whenever I go hiking, I think of my Dad. When I was a kid, he took us on many day hikes. We’d cook our lunch over a fire and drink water from a natural spring. We saw animals and learned to appreciate nature. My Dad taught me a lot on these walks … how to leave an area as we found it … how to respect nature.

That’s what reminds me of my Dad!

  28. I have many traits of my dad (R.I.P. Dad) I look like a lot him, his hair color, his nose and his pot belly, just to name a few :-)

  29. I got my impatience from my father. I also got his sense of “I’ll do anything for my family.”

  30. Ha Everytime I see “The Princess Bride”, I think of my dad. My brothers and I always joke that he looked like Inigo Montoya when he was in college.

  31. My dad knows so much random trivia I have always told him to go on Jeporday or Millionaire. ANytime someone mentions a random ( usually useless) fact i always think of my dad. My dad got me into reading trivia books which i still love till this day!

  32. Me and my dad both have slight cleft shins. Love/hate it at the same time, lol

  33. The smell of Old Spice reminds me of my dad. He always wore Old Spice after shave even though we tried to gift him with more current colognes. I love the smell now…it smells like home to me. I inherited a givers heart from my father. I watched him give to and help others my whole life and now do the same for others. Not a bad thing to inherit! I also got his bright green eyes!

  35. Whenever I see or hear of the book, “Inside, Ouside, Upside Down,” I always think of my dad. He use to read that book to me all the time, no matter how many times in a row, he always read it when I asked!

  36. I’m a perfectionist just like my dad! I am nothing like my mom, who is the most chill and laidback person I have ever met!

  37. I definitely inherited my dad’s love of sweets.

  38. that would be my dads love for his lawn. When I was a kid, we spent weekends raking, picking up sticks and acorns and mowing. I didn’t understand why, and I hated it! Now I have the prettiest lawn on the block!

  39. My dad is known to be quite stubborn and I seem to have inherited that trait from him. When someone tells him he can’t do something because of his age or health he is known to show them that he sure can.

  40. Jeopardy always reminds me of my dad lol. We used to watch it together every night when I was growing up.

  41. One thing I inherited from my dad is ,being quite when I am in pain! He was the same way!
    Thanks

  42. I am too honest just like my dad and I really embarrass myself sometimes. I try to be more secretive but it doesn’t work.
