If you are a regular reader, you know I write a lot of reviews. I’m also a moisturizing maniac. So, when it came time to test Johnson’s new line of products, I went into it a little skeptical. I mean, when you think of Johnson’s, you think of baby products, right?
The new “Melt Away Stress” Collection consists of a body wash, all over moisturizing lotion, massaging oil moisturizer and a night cream. I first sniffed each product to see how “relaxing” they really were…
At first whiff, I thought “lavender = old lady’s bathroom”. But the artificialness slowly faded into fresh notes of what smelled like vanilla.
I ran and hopped into the shower with the body wash, ready to indulge. The body wash lathered up great, went on smooth, and smelled comforting. I was sold.
After I got out of the shower, I towel dried and then slathered my skin in the moisturizing lotion. It too smelled slightly artificial at first, but after it soaked into my skin, it was more of a comforting scent. I tried out the night cream on my hands and feet and I liked that best. It was thicker than the moisturizing lotion and left my skin softer for longer.
The next night, I gave my husband a back massage with the massaging oil moisturizer. And surprisingly, I ended up liking that best of all. It was a little messy to apply and I didn’t have much (read: any) experience applying a body oil before. I got it on the bottle and it dripped down my arm, but it was super soft and moisturizing and was the best smelling of all 4 products. (The secret calming ingredient is Chamomile!)
And I just found out that the Melt Away Stress Massaging Moisturizer actually just won a CEW Award for Best Scented Bath and Body Product! Sweeet!
