So a few weeks ago I told you about Max Factor’s new Vivid Impact Duo
, a double ended eyeshadow system available in some really great colors.
The first one I got was the “Domino Effect” – silver and black. I was really pleased with the colors, but not so excited about the black specks the loose powder left on my cheeks.
So last week, I was watching a video on how to create the smokey eye effect on Kim Kardashian’s website and got a little tip that really helped with that problem. Just just dust some loose foundation powder on your cheeks, right under your eye lids where the eye shadow will most likely land. Then when you are all done doing your eyes, brush the extra powder off and any loose eyeshadow that landed on top of it will sweep right off.
Another way to avoid this problem is to do your eye makeup completely before you put on any foundation. Then you can just wash your cheeks off when you are done with your eyes, and proceed to finish your makeup from there.
With this new tip in mind, I decided to try another color – “Irish Coffee”. This one has a gold color on one end and a great brown/bronze color on the other end. Both colors compliment each other perfectly and apply so nice. Easy to blend too.
I definitely recommend trying one out. They have some great colors and Spring 2009 is almost here! You’ll need to get some fresh, light colors for your makeup palette. Consider getting the “Pink Cloud” duo. Great for Spring and those with blonde hair!
