Living in a luxury home is nice but its downside is that making changes can get very expensive. A small upgrade in one part of the hose quickly racks up into thousands of dollars. While you may be able to afford it, you donโt necessarily have to go out and do it. There are ways you can upgrade your luxury home on a budget.
1. Repaint the walls a new color

Changing wall colors is easily one of the cheapest ways to freshen up the look of your space. If your luxury home is looking a little stale, it might just need a simple paint job. Go ahead and look for trending colors this season and see which ones would fit your current decor best. Some designer-approved colors for this year include navy blue, blue gray, avocado green, bold monochromatics, and organic tones. Take your pick and paint away!
2. Add a sectional sofa

Most of the time, a luxury home has a lot of space. If yours is one of those, consider adding additional seating in the form of a sectional sofa. Whatโs great about this type of sofa is that you can easily detach its parts to accommodate various purposes whether itโs for family games, holding an intimate gathering, meeting with a friend, etc. Whatever it might be, a sectional sofa can add to your space more versatility unlike no other furniture.
3. Add some plants

The problem with big homes is that they can often feel too big and empty. You can easily solve this problem by adding in some indoor plants. Since you have the luxury of space, big plants that extend upwards are a great option for this upgrade. Some really good one are the Ponytail Palm, Corn Plant, Money Tree, and Kentia Palm. Add this to any part of your home that feels empty and itโll instantly freshen up that area.
4. Install a stair runner

You probably have stairs in your home which you can easily upgrade with simple stair runners on the stairs. These are great for preventing slips and they come in different patterns and textures to fit the aesthetic youโre going for.ย
5. Change your curtains

Curtains may block outsiders from looking into your home, but what itโs really for is to decorate your indoor living space. Replace your old curtains with something more stylish like white sheer curtains, matte velvet curtains, or pinch-pleat drapery. These are a great addition to any window giving it a more dramatic look.
6. Add a pop of color

Pops of color in bold dramatic hues is in this year so why not give this trend a try for your luxury home? You only need to pick one element you want to add color to and thatโs it! Just be careful with this step as you want to choose a color that will express the mood you want to evoke. For example, if you have an all-white kitchen and you want to make it look fun, maybe try a bright green color for your cabinets or a deep red fruit bowl on your kitchen counter.
7. Revive your old deck

Living in a luxury home can entail a lot of maintenance. This means you may have unused areas of your home that have received less care than, say, your bedroom or kitchen. Look into other parts of your home such as your old deck as this may need some good revival. It might just be all it needs for you to start using it again. Brighten up those weatherbeaten boards, sweep off fallen leaves, scrub the slimy mold on the railings. This upgrade no expense as these are just cleanup tasks that you can do yourself.
