How to Select a Proper Whirlpool Bath for Your Bathroom

jet pool tubA whirlpool bath used to be quite a luxury, but today, thanks to the many choices out there, whirlpool baths have become an increasingly common feature in many modern bathroom makeovers. You too can have your very own whirlpool bath for a reasonable price, especially if you have a good idea where to look.

If you would like to transform your bathroom into a more relaxing, luxurious space where you can pamper and indulge yourself after a long day, then a whirlpool bath is an obvious choice. But before choosing the first whirlpool bath you see, you have to consider a number of factors, which are all outlined below:

Will it fit?

The first consideration when you are choosing a whirlpool bath is whether it will fit into your bathroom’s available space. You have to make sure the whirlpool bath you choose is appropriate for your bathroom’s size. How do you do this? By measuring your bathroom’s dimensions. The good news is that whirlpool baths today come in various sizes, such as those from www.jtspas.co.uk, which range from corner whirlpool baths to rectangular 1800 mm whirlpool baths and more, so you should not have too much difficulty choosing the right size for your bathroom. One important factor you need to think about, however, is the decking where your whirlpool bath will be placed. Allow for a minimum of at least a few millimeters for the whirlpool bath’s decking on all the sides. You also have to consider your own preferences. If you are planning to place items like oils, toiletries, or décor near the whirlpool bath, then you may need a wider deck as well.

Another consideration when it comes to size is whether the whirlpool bath will be able to fit through your bathroom’s door. Make sure that the height of the tub will be able to fit through your bathroom’s doorway and have clearance to be turned around as well.

How much does the whirlpool bath weigh?

Aside from determining whether the size of the whirlpool bath is appropriate for your bathroom and your bathroom’s doorway, you also have to think about how much the bath weighs. Also, think about how much the bath will weigh when it is filled with water and individual persons. If you think that the bath will weigh too much after all these considerations, then you may want to add some additional bracing or support. However, if you are planning to have your bath installed or set up on a slab or the bath itself is made from acrylic and will be a replacement for a cast iron bath, then the whirlpool bath’s weight will not be an issue.

How much time will you spend in it?

One important question you should also ask yourself is this: how much time are you planning to spend in it, and what are your preferences? For instance, you can choose a two-seater bath if you would like to spend some bonding time in the bath with a loved one. If you are the type of individual who loves long soaks (and who doesn’t?), then you may want to consider extra features as well, such as additional bath jets for an enhanced massage experience (www.jtspas.co.uk is one bathroom supplier which offers jets ranging from 8 to 12 for its whirlpool baths).

Having your very own luxurious whirlpool bath in your bathroom is more possible now than ever. And if you choose your whirlpool bath wisely, you can definitely look forward to some precious pampering time in the comfort of your own home.
