As if things weren’t hectic enough through Halloween, now that it’s November it’s time to start gearing up for the holidays. Meal planning, travel planning, gift planning, shopping, holiday cards, school events, parties, entertaining…it never ends, and it can take a toll on even the heartiest of fashionable housewives. To keep your cool when everyone and everything else is spinning around you, make sure that you take some time every day to quiet your mind and slow down. Try taking a nap for 20 minutes. Have a cup of tea and read your favorite magazine.
If you can make it to the gym or a yoga class, by all means go, and savor your time there. If not, even a few simple yoga postures or a brisk walk around the neighborhood can go a long way in helping you keep things in perspective.
