Jasmere.com is trying something new and different (as well as positively amazing, if you ask me!) for today’s deal starting at 12pm EST. What are they doing? Here’s what they had to share:
Instead of selling our typical high-end jeans, brownies or handbags, jasmere will be “selling” a $90 donation of critical supplies for Haiti – at the special price of $32. To make this possible, we partnered with a very innovative company called Nourish, Inc. Their unique water bottles – BPA-free, reusable & recyclable, spill-proof, contamination-resistant and filled with purified spring water, were originally conceived as a solution for moms-on-the-go. ย Turned out, they were also a perfect answer for the unique challenges of an earthquake-ravaged nation that lost what little infrastructure it once had.
One cool element of this program is that Lara (Nourish CEO) will write the name of and/or message from each donor on a case of water, ensure that it is photographed “in-country” and send the snapshot to the donor as a thanks and souvenir. And they also receive a free bottle of Nourish sent to their home. ย And Nourish is picking up 98% of the differential between what the customer pays on jasmere and what it costs to produce the product and send it to Haiti. Jasmere is providing access to our thousands of daily visitors, as well as a modest financial contribution.
So, for $32 (that’s less than the cost of a single night out or a new dress!), you can help make a HUGE difference in the lives of children and mothers across the world.
I’ll be purchasing a kit (after all, I don’t need to do more shopping, and there are many people who could use this far more than I need a new dress), so I hope you’ll be joining in with me. Please let me know if you decide to buy!
