Tops

We do recommend being on the conservative side when choosing women’s golf attire and pack a collared shirt no matter what. 

In colder weather conditions, you can opt for a sweater or vest. These are usually lightweight and allow you to move freely during your golf swing.

Bottoms

For women’s golf attire, you have a choice between shorts, skirts or pants. What you select should be more dependant on the weather conditions in which you’re playing than anything else. 

Your skirt should be knee-length, and for pants, you can choose between:

Footwear

Golf shoes come in 3 versions; without spikes, with metal spikes, and with plastic spikes. 

Spikes offer you additional grip on wet and soft turf, especially if you play on angulated courses. 

It’s essential to have a good grip when swinging your clubs when you’re on a slope or during wet conditions. 

Some courses will not allow you to play with metal spikes as they are pretty aggressive and can leave marks on the putting green. 

To play it save, go for a pair with plastic spikes. As an extra to that, most shoes allow you to replace the plastic spikes when worn down. This saves you money and time since you won’t have to replace your shoes quite as often. 

Accessories

The most important women’s golf attire you can buy for the golf course is a good golf hat. 

You can decide whether you want to go with a simple visor, a baseball cap-styled hat, or a bucket hat. This comes down to personal preference. 

A bucket hat is a good choice if you are concerned about getting too much sun on your neck and ears. They’re also great for playing in rainy weather conditions as they protect your face from getting wet. 

Besides that, you’ll also want to invest in golf gloves. These are usually worn on only one hand, but you can also wear two gloves if you are more comfortable doing so.

Some golf courses are stricter, while others don’t really care what you’ll wear when playing. But to stay on the safe side, keep the basics in mind; a collared shirt, a knee-length skirt or pants, and a good pair of golf shoes.
