If you live in the northeast region of the US or anywhere with harsh winters, you know what cold weather and dry indoor air can do to your skin. It’s time to overhaul your skin care regimen and get your skin ready for Spring!
Living in New Hampshire with the bitterly cold winters, my skin dries out SO BAD. This winter has been the worst of all. I have to put lotion on my poor feet several times a day to keep them sufficiently hydrated. And with all the extra handwashing and hand sanitizer,ย my hands have never looked worse. My face was definitely suffering the greatest though until I started using Organic Doctor Rose Otto Day Cream.
My skin has improved so much just from using Organic Doctor skin care products for the past two weeks. I was going to tell you ladies about my new skin care regimen for Spring when I started it on January 1st, but I wanted to be sure it was really working before I got you guys in the loop!
First off, Mom It Forward sent me a small selection of Organic Doctor products to try out, but this is not my first encounter with their products. I’ve been using Organic Doctor Virgin Olive Oil Lotion for over a year and loving it. The six new products I got to try out for the last couple weeks, I’ve fallen in love with too!
I was excited to try out the Manuka Honey Face Scrubย since I’m pretty addicted to my apricot scrub and would love an organic alternative. The tube is smaller and more expensive, but the natural and organic ingredients won me over. Manuka honey, aloe vera, sweet almond oil, with the scrubbing power of tiny volcanic particles. The scrubby particles are smaller and less abrasive than my apricot scrub, but honestly, that’s probably better for my skin. As long as I don’t let my skin dry out, I really don’t need that much abrasion anyway.
I really like the Rose Otto products like the Day Cream and the Facial Serum. I didn’t always like the smell of roses but found it was one of the only smells I could tolerate during my last pregnancy so now I’m kinda partial to that rose scent.
The Rose Otto Day cream smells heavenly, is a perfect consistency, soaks into skin quickly without leaving it feeling greasy, and keeps skin moisturized all day through the cold, dry weather. I’ve been putting it on every morning after washing my face with the Tea Tree Face Wash. I love this facial cleanser because it deep cleans the skin and gets all the foundation makeup, primers, etc off of your skin without stripping your skin of it’s natural moisture. It’s pH balanced and it smells great!
I follow up with the Virgin Coconut Oil Eye Perfect which keeps under my eyes hydrated which, as we all know, helps prevent and diminish fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes. I’m usually leary of eye creams because they tend to be too thick and too moisturizing which makes them roll off my skin, especially if I attempt to put makeup on top. Luckily, I haven’t had that problem with this eye cream the two times I’ve worn makeup.
Last, but certainly not least, is the Snail Gel!ย I know you’re probably thinking “eeeew!” but honestly, this stuff is great. It has an odd gel-like texture that literally melts into your skin leaving it feeling silky and smooth like nothing else ever has. I’ve actually been putting this on my cuticles, elbows, and knees! It works great on my face too. The days that I feel like my skin needs extra moisture, I actually put the snail gel on first, let it soak into my skin while I’m doing other things and then apply the day cream on top. This product is truly a game-changer when it comes to combat dry winter skin. You definitely need to add this to your skincare regimen!
If the idea of snail gel grosses you out too much, you could always get theย Snail Gel Creamย which is white and more like a regular facial cream.
Overall, I’m continually impressed with Organic Doctor skincare products and would highly recommend all that I have tried. Not only do they all contain natural and organic ingredients, the price point for such is truly phenomenal. You won’t find products like this in your local Whole Foods for prices like this! I’m so glad to see that a company is finally making affordable and ORGANIC skincare products for those of us that care what we are putting on our skin. As an added bonus, Organic Doctor is against animal testing and all of their products are free from parabens, synthetic colors, SLS, silicones, BHT, and more!
You can grabย Organic Doctor products at your local CVS stores and online at cvs.comย and Amazon.
