Feminine and Edgy? Check It!

No matter what I say my own personal style is, it is inevitable that I am drawn to things that are feminine, floral and lacy… and also to things that are dark, edgy and fashion forward.  There is obviously an art to combining the two. The latest styles from the runway that totally grab my attention and fashion affection aren’t just feminine but they are sassy and loud at the same time. Whether it be splashes of unconventional color or leather and lace, these designs make me more excited than the moment I found out Jordin Sparks was opening for Britney Spears!

How it translates to our wardrobes?

DESIGNERS?

US- Obviously we can’t go out in public wearing sheer skirts and black panties. Well at least I can’t! Designs can be translated from “showstopping” creations into more wearable, commercial pieces that the everyday woman can pull off.

DESIGNERS?

US- While some of us tall, slender girls can pull from off the runway, most of us need to keep the look more understated rather than “Look at me!” Pull your favorite piece for a look. Pick up a bright, patterned skirt with an understate tee and sandals. Love the dress? Pull your hair back in a pony and slip on your flip flops.

DESIGNERS?

US-Don’t fear the color combos mi ladies! You can pull it off!

The lesson to learn here is that no matter how edgy or feminine you want to be, to the extremes and back again, you can make ANY runway style your own.
