Fall Makeup Trend: Hollywood Mystique Bold Lips
If you’re even a teensy weensy bit into “fashion” then chances are one of your favorite things about Fall is wearing boots! Whether you like ankle boots or thigh high boots, everyone always seems to anticipate putting outfits together that will go with boots!
Regardless of what Fall fashion trends you’re itching to try, you won’t look complete without brushing up your makeup application skills and trying something new!
This fall’s hottest makeup / beauty trend is “Hollywood Mystique”. This trend consists of:
- Neutral Shades on Eyes
- Flawless Fabulous Face
- Bold Lips
- Polished Confidence
My favorite is BOLD LIPS! I’m usually a lip gloss / lip balm kind of gal and I generally steer clear of lipstick. However, I have a new found favorite…
RED LIPS! I thought the look would be too intense on me, but I’m finding, I kinda like it. A lot! Who knew?!!
The color I’m addicted to right now is Mary Kay® Crème Lipstick in “Really Red” (050275) and Mary Kay® NouriShine Plus™ Lip Gloss® in Red Passion” (047955). Whether I wear them together or separately, they create a bold, red lip look that is oh-so-perfect for fall and that Hollywood Mystique trend. It’s a look that is both classic and glamorous.

You look great with the bold lipstick. I wish I can pull off a deep red shade, though then again, I haven’t exactly tried it myself. What’s the best trick for someone like me, who would be trying a bolder palette for the first time?
I would choose a shade of red that doesn’t have too much blue in it if you are rocking it for the first time. And I would recommend doing minimal, neutral makeup on the rest of your face. Try it sometime at the end of the day, before you wash your face when you already have makeup on and just practice applying the red lipstick. Some people need a lip liner when wearing darker shades of lipstick. Let us know how you do!
Thanks for the tips! I’m going to try looking for the perfect shade of red this weekend. Hopefully it works out.
