The Fashionable Housewife was chosen by KOHL’S as one of their featured bloggers to partake in their “Master The Fall Trends Challenge”! For the next 3 weeks, I’m going to tell you 3 more top trends for Fall 2013 and then show YOU how easy it is to rock each trend for around $100 at Kohl’s!
Week #1 Trend is: “New Classics”
This fall is all about the new classics; focus on key pieces to stay effortlessly chic all season. Any fashionista will tell you, the fall wardrobe essentials are: the perfect black pant, a button up shirt, a pullover sweater and the motorcycle jacket, all found at unbeatable prices at Kohl’s and Kohls.com. Update these must-haves with fabric mixing, color blocking, plaids, and stripes.
So I sent my mom to Kohl’s with a $100 gift card to get herself an outfit with the 4 main key pieces for this trendy look.
- Perfect Black Pants
- Button Down Shirt
- Pullover Sweater
- Motorcycle Jacket
And here is her “New Classics” outfit for under $100!
So, she didn’t find the perfect black pants, but she found some Rock & Republic Jeans on sale for $44 plus she got an extra 25% off everything she purchased so they only ended up being $33!

TOTAL: $103.50
She went a tiny bit over the $100 budget, but the receipt shows that we saved a total of $105.96 so how can you complain?! Where else can you buy 4 pieces of clothing for less than $100 and have, not only, a whole outfit BUT versatile pieces you can mix and match? No where!
And so the moral of this story, ladies and gentlemen, is that’s how you Kohl’s.
