5 Classic Hairstyles That Are Making A Comeback This Year

The global fashion and beauty industry is always evolving. New trends are coming in every year. But similar to life cycles, there are trends that also make a comeback. Magazines and fashion shows often set the bar for what’s trendy and not, and as these new fashionable hairstyles are released, women all over the world follow suit.

As moms, there’s no reason not to be fashionable. Even when you’ve got an entire household to care for, don’t forget to also take good care of yourself. Indulging in yourself and your personal appearance once in a while can affect your mood, which can help you have more energy to accomplish your household tasks.

That said, here are some of the classic hairstyles making a comeback, that you, too, can follow:

1. The Classic Ponytail

Sometimes it’s in, sometimes it’s out. But this year, the classic ponytail is making a comeback. If you want to go a notch higher than just having a plain ponytail, adorn it with ribbons, clips, or pins, depending on your preference. The classic ponytail is one that you’ll love as a mom yourself since it won’t take you so much time and effort to do perfectly!

There are many ways you can diversify this simple hairstyle. If you’ve got time, you can curl your hair, giving you an elegant and glamorous ponytail. Using the right cream for curls can help you achieve this look perfectly. You can also choose to have a high pony or a low one. Switch it up on different days, so you don’t get tired of this style easily.

If you’re feeling quite adventurous, you can even frame up your perfect ponytail with side-swept bangs. This is one of those classic hairstyles that won’t let you down.

2. Sleek And Straight

This isn’t just your no-effort kind of hair, leaving it down after a bath. By sleek and straight, this means having that extra time in the morning to iron your hair. Think Cher’s classic hairstyles that are so iconic.

This sleek and straight hairstyle can power you through any event you may have, from a simple grocery run to an ordinary day at work, and even for a formal or glamorous event. If you’re going to a party, make sure that you also use the right styling products to keep your hair in place for hours to come.

3. Braids

You may have loved having braids as a child, and there’s absolutely no reason for you not to like it today. Braids are the easiest way for moms to cheat their way out of a no-shower day. If the day is getting too stressful that you don’t have the time to give your mane a good wash, don’t fret! Put your hair up in braids in the way you know how to or prefer, and you’ll still look stylish.

There are so many ways to style your braid as this classic trend makes its comeback. A favorite among women will always be French braids. When you’ve got a long and busy day ahead of you, this is also one of the easiest ways to keep your hair out of your face, while also not having to worry about messy hair. It’s one of those classic hairstyles that is a great go-to.

4. The Tupac

This style is definitely a throwback to the ’90s, and there’s a reason why it’s called “The Tupac”: when you think of Tupac, undoubtedly, one of the first things that come to mind is the iconic bandana wrapped and tied around the head. But if you want to give it a feminine twist, tie this up in a bow.

To cheat your way out of tying this up in a bow yourself, you can opt to bring back hair bandana bows. All you have to do is put this in on your head, then bring your hair up in a tousled or messy bun, and you’re good to go. If you’re looking for stylish bandana to cover up your messy hair, 4inbandana is the way to go!

To give yourself a clearer picture of this kind of classic hairstyle, you might want to imagine how women in the 1950s did their hair. This is a classic favorite making its way back in the beauty industry 70 years later.

5. The Bouffant

If you’re looking for a little bit more glam and elegance in your look, the bouffant is an excellent choice. Look through photos of women in the 1960s and you’ll see why.

There are many ways you can style your bouffant hair. For a fuss-free look, the bun plus a bouffant is a favorite. You may also want to try having your hair half up and half down, but instead of keeping it tied tightly, have a bouffant up. The rest of your hair falling down your face adds framing for a touch of elegance.

Be Adventurous

These classic hairstyles all spring from the past, but that doesn’t mean they’re passé. From boho to vintage, from chic to stylish, there’s undoubtedly a classic hairstyle to every woman’s liking.

Give yourself that brand-new look by trying out any of these classic hairstyles. There’s no need to be out-of-trend yourself, and these simple style adjustments can make you look just as fabulous as the models in magazines.
