China Glaze Emulates the 70โs with a Free-Spirited Retro Diva Collection that is reminiscent of a time of platforms, hiphuggers and disco days.
The collection was released last week and features twelve free-spirited shades that pay tribute to the sexy and exciting decade. This Fall 2009 collection from China Glaze is absolutely fabulous.
There are 6 purple-ish red shades, 4 orange-ish shades, a beautiful red and a cool dove-gray color. Below, you’ll find swatches of the five light colored shades. Out of these 5, Street Racing was my favorite one!

Far Out China Glaze describes this shade as olive, but I would say it’s more of a dusty rose color with caramel undertones. This is one of my favorites in the collection because it’s neutral and would go great with almost any outfit. It has just the right amount of shimmer to catch the light, without looking cheap. Love this shade!

Crusin’ A honey yellow color with an orange glow to it. This one is sheer and needs at least 2 coats for full coverage. It has a soft shimmer to it, making it perfect for finger nails.

Free Love This one jumps right out at you and screams ORANGE! It has some nice golden flecks in it that keeps it from being too bright, but it’s still a statement making color. Perfect for toes.

Street Racing Probably my favorite color out of the collection is Street Racing. It jumped out at me right away as being a unique shade that goes great with my auburn hair. I would describe this one as a burnt orange shade with a rusty copper shimmer to it. Very beautiful on long nails I think. Click here for another pic of this color.

Drive In A bold fiery red with an orange shimmer to it. This shade is perfect for statement making nails to go with your little black dress. This one is great for finger nails and toes and is a flattering shade for everyone. Love it!
