China Glaze Retro Diva Collection For Fall 2009
China Glaze Emulates the 70’s with a Free-Spirited Retro Diva Collection that is reminiscent of a time of platforms, hiphuggers and disco days.
The collection was released just a few days ago and features twelve free-spirited shades that pay tribute to the sexy and exciting decade. This Fall 2009 collection from China Glaze is just my style. I love every single one of the colors!
The Collection includes:
-
* Cord – Dove Grey
* Short & Sassy – Cranberry
* Let’s Groove – Eggplant
* Stella – Raspberry
* Skate Night – Merlot
* Far Out – Olive
* Stroll – Maroon
* Thunderbird – Rust
* Drive In – Sheer Amber
* Street Racing – Apricot
* Free Love – Shimmering Coral
* Cruisin – Honey Yellow
I had a hard time deciding which color to use first! I ended up painting my toes with “Stella”, a raspberry shade with a fuchsia-pink shimmer to it. Check back at 3pm today for a review of some super comfortable sandals and pics of my toes polished with Stella!
These are some great colors for Fall, but I’m not going to wait till then to rock some of these hot shades. I’ll post swatches of each color very soon! Meanwhile you can find the collection at Sally Beauty Supply and online at 8ty8beauty.com, Head2ToeBeauty.com and TransDesign.com.
The name on the line alone makes me want to run out and buy it all, but I find that the brand doesn’t have as much staying power as competitors like Essie or OPI.
No China Glaze is definitely better than Essie in my opinion. I would put it up there with OPI and the OPI for Sephora. They are pretty much the only three brands I will wear.
I usually do 2 coats of China Glaze and then a top coat of MAC Overlacquer to lock it on. I usually get 6 or 7 days without chipping.
Zoya isn’t bad, but if you want long lasting nail polish, steer clear of Butter London. Chips within 5 hours of putting it on!
