Lily Padz Non-Absorbent Nursing Pad – $19.99
This is the ultimate nursing pad. They are clear, non-absorbent, and discreet. Most nursing pads I have found to be quite bulky and obvious under clothing. With Lily Padz though, you can’t even tell they are there. They stick to your skin, so you also have the option of not wearing a bra. Or you can wear them in bathing suits! I think these nursing pads are great and I’m so glad I found them.
Nursing Camisole – $.99 and up
I have a gray one from Target and a black one from Motherhood and I love both of them. I think nursing camis are the best invention ever. They are so convenient as you don’t have to wear a bra with them. They make nursing at home and in public, really easy. Plus, it’s easy to glam them up a bit. Just add a blazer, sweater shrug, or a fitted button down shirt on top. It’s a must-have basic for every fashionable mom that breastfeeds.
Medela Comfort Nursing Bra – $29.99
This is the most comfortable nursing bra I have tried so far. I think $30 for a bra is quite expensive, especially since it’s not from Victoria’s Secret, but this one is worth every penny. (You can get them cheap on ebay) Besides the fact that it’s very comfortable and un-clips easily with one hand, you still need two hands to clip it back. That’s the only thing I don’t like about it. Everything else is perfect!
OK, all this talk of not wearing a bra is making me very jealous!!! I could never go braless, or even be supported in the slightest by that Medela bra (though I did used to sleep in one like that, to hold the pads in place) however, I have often wondered about LilyPadz since conventional pads look…well…bad! Good to hear that they work. If I am ever BF again (not likely, I think I am done having kids!) or offering looking for a gift for BF friends, I will check them out!
P.S. Again, thinking $30 for a bra is expensive also makes me jealous of you! I would be doing cartwheels if I could wear a $30 bra…or if I could do cartwheels without risking knocking out an eye!!!
For the more endowed BF mommas, I recommend Goddess Nursing bras. They were the only ones with enough suppoert that I did not look like my old aunt bubs who has serious bra (or lack of bra…I am not sure) issues!
