This week was the premiere of action-comedy film, 30 Minutes or Less, bringing out the film’s start, among them relative newcomer, Bianca Kajlich! Hollywood makeup artist Brett Freedman was responsible for the actress’ gorgeous makeup, going the natural route with a hint of elegance and just a touch of edge with her pink, pouty lip. Get the scoop straight from the expert himself, below!
In the new movie, 30 Minutes or Less, starlet Bianca Kajlich plays a stripper named Juicy. Since she’s kind of in-your-face trashy in the film, Bianca decided to pare down her look and give a touch of elegance for the movie’s premiere. Check out how Brett created the look, well from Brett himself:
Moisturizer: Dermalogica oil free. I heart this sheer but uber moisturizing prep for skin.
Base: Make Up Forever’s HD mixed with a touch of Bonne Bell bronzer. I wanted a moveable, sheer coverage with a little glow of warmth. Bianca had gotten some sun and since she was showing a lot of skin I thought it best to amp it up on her face, too.
Concealer: Laura Mercier Camouflage. Love the way this palette-like cover up brightens under eyes and dodges spots.
Blush: Bonne Bell bronzer with Maybelline’s Soft Plum Dream Mousse cheek color on apples/tops of cheeks to give a healthy glow to her skin.
Eyeshadow: LโOreal Infinite Wear quad in Landscape and Benefit’s High Beam. The quad: a nice array of neutrals. I wanted her eyes to look vivid, but not distract from the sheer pop of color I planned to give her lips. I used the medium brown in her crease and to define her bottom lash line. I then went in with the darkest shade and sculpted out her crease. I used High Beam on Bianca’s brow bone and around her tear duct to catch light and add dewiness.
Eye Liner: Shiseido liquid liner felt tip pen. I mainly used this to dot in between Bianca’s lashes and very close to the lash line. I wanted the drama of the eyes to mainly be about the lashes.
Mascara: Benefit’s They’re Real. Love this mascara for Bianca’s lashes! It makes them so long and lush. I applied 3 coats to the top and one on the bottom just to anchor the look.
Lashes: Ardell individuals. I mixed short and medium. I started mid eye to the outer corner with 5 short sprigs picket fenced across. I then added 3 medium to the ends to bump up Bianca’s already thick fringe.
Brows: Vanitymark Ultra-Brow powder in Milk Choco. I gave Bianca’s arches ultimate polish by filling out her brow line up and out to give classic Hollywood glam. I like a softer brown on Bianca because it’s lighter than her brow hairs, so it never looks obvious or filled in.
Lips: Benefit’s gloss in Kiss Me. LOVE this unusual, electric lavender shade. I thought it was the perfect ‘pink with an edge’. It being a very young Hollywood premiere, I figured something a little left of center, color wise, would fly nicely.
Body: Vanitymark’s Shimmerskin body glisten. Since Bianca has such great skin I thought it would be amazing to just give a sheer, shimmery amp up. I sprayed over all exposed skin to give her body a dewy, ‘new car’ finish. Smile!
