I think most women find themselves feeling blue every now and again. Whether it’s PMS, depression, or just being overwhelmed with everything you have to do ie. LIFE!
After giving birth in July 2007, my PPD (postpartum depression) was horrible. For 6 months after my daughter was born I increasingly felt what could only be explained as the worst PMS in the world. I was confused, depressed, angry, irritable, frustrated, bitchy, and I just wanted to crawl into a little hole and die.
Most moms I know went on medication for their PPD, but I’ve never been one to take prescriptions unless absolutely necessary, like for my asthma. (If I didn’t take Advair, I probably wouldn’t live long.) So I wasn’t willing to take some drugs just to feel happy. I wanted to find an alternative to medication. Especially since I am nursing and don’t want drugs going into my milk and then into my infant!
I was searching online for natural remedies for depression when I came across Happy Happy™, which stated it was quote, “A wonderful alternative to prescription drugs like Paxil®, Zoloft®, Effexor® and others.” It sounded perfect!
At the same time, I also found Ultimate Anxiety Relief. That one also sounded good to me! Almost too good to be true… I had to try them to find out.
The very next time I felt like I was stressed out and going to have an anxiety attack, I decided it would be a good time to try Happy Happy. I took the recommended dosage and went back to what I was doing. I didn’t notice an immediate difference. In fact, I didn’t notice much at all. About 2 hours later, I still felt like I wanted to hide in the closet, so I thought I would try out the Ultimate Anxiety Relief. To my surprise and delight, it worked great!
It took a few minutes to kick in, but slowly I began to feel much better. I think it actually stopped me from having an anxiety attack. I was impressed. But not totally sold… Could it just be a placebo?
So a few days later, I was having some more PMS induced anxiety and decided to try Happy Happy again. I pretty much got the same affect… nothing. I wasn’t having a horrible day and didn’t end up taking anything else. Just mainly putting up with my crabby self.
The next day, PMS again… but this time I tried the Ultimate Anxiety Relief and it worked immediately, just like before.
I tested both of them some more over a month’s time.
Happy Happy: It’s a great mood lifter if you just feel bummed. It didn’t work very strongly for me, but it did make a difference. Same mild mood lifting like having a half of a glass of wine.
Ultimate Anxiety Relief: If you are having an anxiety attack, PMS, PMDD, or PPD, then this one is the way to go and I don’t think I can live without it at this point. It’s strong and it works!
Both products have very unprofessional looking websites, but their products work and that’s all that really counts. So don’t get turned off by the very “infomercial look” to their sites!
