Backpacks Are the New It-Bag (Sorry, LV)

Can I just be honest for a second? Handbags had their moment. We toted around giant leather beasts that cost more than our mortgage payment and weighed as much as a toddler. Sure, that Louis Vuitton monogram looks cute in an Instagram flatlay, but in real life? You’re one Target run away from permanent scoliosis.
Millennial moms everywhere are finally wising up and buying backpacks. Forget balancing a gaudy designer tote on one arm like some kind of circus act. I’m not here for it. I’m thinking 2025 is the year of the backpack. Practical? Yes. Versatile? Absolutely. Stylish? You bet!
And here’s the bonus: while weighted vests are trending as the hot new way for moms to “burn extra calories,” why not double-dip? Throw on your adidas backpack, load it up with snacks, wipes, and possibly a small child’s entire LEGO collection, and boom! Just like that, you’re doing resistance training without even trying. I mean, who needs Pilates when you’ve got a backpack full of juice boxes? Not this mama!
Let’s face it: lugging around a luxury tote is just a one-way ticket to lopsided shoulders and a calendar reminder to schedule your next Chiropractic adjustment. And seriously with everything else we have to do, who has time to squeeze in another appointment? Not me.
The only thing those oversized handbags are giving is back pain. Not the vibes I’m going for!

Here are four backpacks I’m loving right now:

- adidas Backpack Option 1 – Sleek & Sporty
- adidas Backpack Option 2 – Everyday Classic
- adidas Backpack Option 3 – Bold & Fun
- Adidas Backpack Option 4 – Farm Rio
Not only are these backpacks stylish, they are super practical for busy mom life. I can carry absolutely everything I need (and then some) without busting the zippers.
Swap one of these for your neck-breaking handbag. You’re welcome.
And while you’re at it, ditch the ankle socks and get yourself some crew socks. Yes, ladies… It’s time to graduate. I know it’s hard to give up those no-show socks, but we need to. It’s time.
