The Fashionable Housewife was the first and original fashion blog just for moms. All others are imitators and copycats! This blog was started in May of 2005 when there were no other blogs on the web that were specifically geared towards housewives and moms who wanted to look good but didn’t want to spend a lot!
We know how it is when you need every extra penny to pay the rent, the mortgage or to buy diapers!!! Remember, just because you are a mom doesn’t mean you need to give up fashion and start wearing sweatpants every day. You can be fashionable AND comfortable! We subscribe to the motto that “moms should look good too.” ®
Here at The Fashionable Housewife, we believe that dressing fashionable and looking great doesn’t need to cost a fortune. While Sarah-Jean spends most of her time involved in strengthening the Fashionable Media network of blogs and raising FIVE children, if there is any time leftover (hahaha!), Sarah spends time doing web design, Pilates, Barre, photography, reading, researching, and cooking. She is a certified personal nutritionist and enjoys staying on the cutting edge of everything that has to do with health and fitness.
The Fashionable Housewife is the mother of five children! After the birth of her first child in 2007, motherhood inspired her to start a sister site, The Fashionable Bambino, to talk about fashionable maternity clothes, nursing, natural birth, cloth diapering, cute kid’s clothes and more.
In August 2008, Sarah-Jean started The Fashionable Gal. The blog is geared towards teens, college students, and young women who care what they look like but don’t want to spend a ton! You’ll find beauty tips, the latest trends in makeup and fashion, what NOT to wear, reviews of popular products, cosmetics, jewelry and so much more.
