The Little White Dress is Back!
Did it really ever go anywhere?
The sweeter, virginal little sister to the LBD is coming out to play this spring! With runways aflutter not missing a beat you’re sure to run into this trend again, and again! Don’t panic black is still back and very hot, but there’s just something about the LWD that shows true style and sophistication. One could say, white just make me look huge (and I could agree) but this season offers more flattering cuts. In addition there is also a range of flattering end-of-winter suitable fabrics so you won’t catch Pneumonia. I’m not one to usually pick favorites but I love what white does for the skin and will cling to this trend like my adorable LWD clings to me.
The glow of white can warm up a room in winter, and show off icy coolness in the summer. It’s versatility alone makes it a powerful fashion heavyweight for any season. Right now we’re still shaking snow off our legs so be sure and wear dark colored tights to stay sweet, chic and warm. Stores like Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, and Free People are all jumping in and offering gorgeous white dresses that will carry you from end-of-winter to spring to summer and back to fall seamlessly!
I love the idea of a LWD only problem… 3 children, can’t see it staying white for long!! The last white item i bought was one of those perfect fit tees by KStreet, my friends had been raving about them, mine is now covered in what suspiciously looks like tomato sauce, chocolate and an onimous yellowish stain!! (Had to immediatley buy one in black) I will be sticking to LBD’s from now on.
