Pantone’s 2016 Colors of The Year are Rose Quartz & Serenity

For the first time EVER, Pantone selected TWO colors of the year for 2016! The gorgeous colors that made the cut are Rose Quartz and Serenity. Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director at Pantone Color Institute, describes the color combination as “reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace,” and we tend to agree! The two colors, especially together, are quite soothing and peaceful. A winning combination indeed!

Spring is the perfect time to experiment with these calming colors. We know a lot of you still have snow on the ground, but we are supposed to have an early spring so let’s think spring-ish thoughts and get ready for my favorite time of the year!

These two colors are hitting the beauty scene as well. Sephora and Pantone teamed up to create two lipsticks in Pantone’s colors of the year that are both breathtaking and totally wearable.

I’m totally loving Sephora + Pantone Color of The Year Rose Quartz and the lovely Sephora + Pantone Color of The Year Serenity. While most of us probably can’t rock blue lipstick everyday, the Rose Quartz is absolutely a perfect everyday shade for busy moms and housewives.

 

Nail Polish

Of course, nail polish in these two colors are an absolute MUST-HAVE for Spring, which is just weeks away. I’m dying to get these colors on my nail!

Essie Rock The Boat and Essie Pink About It are just perfection! I’ve even seen these two colors swirled together to make a pretty epic manicure. Image all the possibilities for fun manicures with these two amazing colors!
