With Mother’s Day weekend quickly approaching, T.J.Maxx asked me to share with everyone how I “Maxx” motherhood.
When it comes to being a mom, everyone has their own unique approach to balancing everything on their plate and T.J.Maxx recognizes that motherhood is less about perfection and more about maximizing what matters most!
So instead of staying inside to clean my house, do dishes, laundry and vacuuming, I left the house a mess and opted to head outdoors for some physical activity with the kids!
I know I put way too much pressure on myself to DO and BE everything. I TRY to be a supermom even though I know it’s literally not possible for a single human being to do everything I try to do in a day, but I try my best anyway. It’s impossible to take care of my home, 3 children, homeschool them AND run a business! Some days I have to let things slide and today, housework is one of those things. With homeschooling, keeping 3 small humans alive and running my business being the priorities, generally the housework and yard suffer. That’s why I have this sign hanging in my house as a disclaimer to my guests….
Having a perfectly clean and tidy house at all times just isn’t going to happen and I don’t want to waste my whole life trying. So outside we go!
Staying active, exploring the outdoors, getting some sunshine and enjoying life is way more important than doing the dishes, right?!
So much to see, so much to do, so many things in nature to explore. Since we homeschool, it’s great on sunny days like today when we can be outside learning about clouds, birdwatching, checking out different types of trees and plants, playing with our chickens and breathing in all that fresh, spring air.
For the days when the house IS clean (for whatever reason), keeping my kids outside helps to keep the inside of my house clean! That’s how I MAXX motherhood!
