Bring the Tropics to You With Avon’s Hawaiian Shores Collection

Avon’s new Hawaiian Shores Collection will bring the tropics home to you with a variety of gorgeous colors and scents to help add a little pizazz to your summer beauty routine.

I was sent a selection of products from this collection to try and I am blown away by the rich hues and delicious scents. First, let me share with you the products available in this new collection.

While I didn’t receive the full collection, I can tell you that the products I did receive were very nice. I really loved the Hawaiian Shores Eau de Toilette Spray and Body Mist. The perfume is a little heavier and complex and lasts longer, but the body mist is a refreshing mixture of plumeria and starfruit that is perfect for warm days when you just need a little spritz of something to help uplift you. The matching Moisture Gel is definitely my favorite and, because it’s scent is complimentary to both the perfume and body mist, it’s good for layering. I also really like the unique gel formulation which helps quench parched skin without feeling thick or heavy – a definite bonus!

Now for the makeup. I am pretty terrified when it comes to using bronzer, but the Hawaiian Shores Bronzing Petals were a cinch to use. The embossed floral design is almost too pretty to ruin, though! However, I had to use it for the sake of this review and I’m glad I did – it gave just the perfect hint of color without making my fair skin look orange or muddy. A little goes a long way though, so for other fair skinned ladies out there be sure to use a light hand.

As for the True Color Eyeshadow Duos in Ocean Shores and Hawaiian Glow, I was really impressed with the gorgeous colors. Ocean Shores is a sea-inspired duo that’s perfect for a twist on the classic smokey eye, while Hawaiian Glow blends beautiful bronze and coral shades that’s great for a daytime summer look. They’re also very nicely pigmented and last for a decent amount of time with a primer.

Finally, the last product I received was Glimmersticks Diamonds Eyeliner. I received the Smoky Diamond shade, and I love how it made my eyes pop with the perfect amount of shimmer. I’m pretty addicted to shimmer and glitter, but this liner didn’t go overboard in that department. It also applied smoothly with no tugging. Honestly, for the price you can’t beat it! I’d love to snap up other shades from this line.

Overall, I was very pleased with the Hawaiian Shores collection. While I couldn’t test the nail enamel or lip glazes, if they are anything like the rest of the collection I am sure they are just as lovely and high quality as the products I did test!
