Best Winter Snow Boots: Bearpaw Bristol Lined Boots

BEARPAW Women’s Bristol Boot shown above in “Birch” which is like a drab olive army greenish color. Be warned! Some websites do not show an accurate picture displaying the actual color of the “Birch” boots. Some websites make them appear more of a light tan or camel color, which they are NOT! Also note that the Birch color is the only color option that has a contrasting trim. These are lined with a beige fur.

These boots are also available in black with black fur, charcoal with grey fur and chocolate brown with brown fur. I personally like them in the olive green color with the beige trim myself!

Highlights

SUPER warm! They feature a genuine sheepskin/wool lining that offers the ultimate in softness and temperature regulation, while a sheepskin-covered footbed wicks moisture away for a cool, dry environment for your feet. These are IDEAL New England winter boots. If you have at least 2-3 months of below 32° F weather, then these are the boots for you!

Extremely durable! Unlike UGG boots (and similarly styled boots) these have an incredibly robust rubber outsole that isn’t slippery at all. I love my Ugg boots just as much as the next person, but I don’t like wearing them in the snow because I’m afraid of wrecking them AND because the sole is slippery on ice and snow. I don’t have that problem with these at all.

Comfortable! Because of the super soft and cozy sheepskin/wool lining, these feel like slippers on the inside. Slip them on and your foot is just enraptured in fuzzy warmth and squishiness. The suede outer is also soft to the touch.

Things to Note

They Run Narrow! These boots run a bit on the narrow side and only come in whole sizes. I recommend buying at LEAST 1 size larger than you normally wear. I usually wear a 7, I got these in a 7 and they are VERY snug to the point or crushing toes. I think I needed at least an 8 in these with barefeet, or a size 9 to wear with socks. Keep this in mind when ordering online! I would get them from Amazon.com or Endless.com so you can easily return them if you need a different size.

  2. This review is from: I eended to find boots for my 2 1/2 yr. old son. But most boots for boys are stiff and clunky . My son has a disorder that makes him a bit wobbley (weak muscles). So, when I found these boots I thought they’d be perfect only they seemed to be adverstised for girls, and all the comments were about girls having them. I finally got hold of a representative from another site and asked if the toddler size was just for girls. She said they’re for boys as well. Yay! I ordered them and my son walks in them with almost no problem! I got the chocolate brown so they’d look extra boyish, too. I LOVE these boots. My only suggestion is they should make it clear that boys can wear these as well.
