How To Talk to Little Girls
We here at The Fashionable Housewife love our fashion and beauty products, and we think you do to. But we also love fostering self esteem in children, and teaching them that being thoughtful and creative and smart, and relying on their intellect to succeed is more important than what they are wearing or what their body looks like or how stylish their clothes are. The following article by Lisa Bloom, author of Think: Straight Talk for Women to Stay Smart in a Dumbed-Down World, appeared last week on The Huffington Post. It’s a wonderful article and really makes you think about how we talk to our children and what messages we are sending them.
