Trend Alert: Ankle Boots and “Booties”
One of the biggest and most popular Fall/Winter 2007 trends are ankle boots and booties.
Yes, there is a difference between ankle boots and booties, but both are a hot trend right now. Ankle boots end 1 to 4 inches above your ankle, where booties generally end right at the ankle. 
Celebrities such as Ashley Olsen (pictured to the left), Liv Tyler (pictured to the right), Elisha Cuthbert, Kate Moss, Sienna Miller, and many more.
While it is a decidedly cute trend, it’s not recommended for everyone. Most of the booties I’ve seen have thin, spike heels which isn’t real practical if you are carrying around a 4 month old baby, like me! If you’re just going to work, going shopping, or hitting the town with your gal pals, then booties are a definite must for you.
Ankle boots are a bit more practical and can be worn by most. The most popular way to wear them right now is with tights or leggings and a nice sweater dress or hoodie dress. They can be worn with wide leg pants or cute skinny jeans as well.

I know I may be in the minority here, but this is one trend I cannot stand. I just don’t see anything attractive about them at all.
