Being a mom of 3 (soon 4!), it goes without saying that I do a lot of cooking and baking in my house. I generally cook 2-3 meals a day, usually from scratch for at least 3-7 people. Because it seems like I’m ALWAYS cooking, my kitchen generally isn’t picture-ready or looking like something out of Better Homes & Gardens magazine. I keep a lot of my necessities out on the counter like my KitchenAid mixer and various other kitchen appliances that I use almost daily.
With how much cooking I’ve been doing, I’m starting to get stumped for ideas on what to cook! Also being 8 months pregnant, I don’t really want to spend hours in the kitchen doing meal prep either. I’ve found a few kitchen necessities have been coming in handy that I didn’t even know I needed!
Cook Book Holder
The Brilliant Reading Rest is one kitchen necessity that I bet you didn’t even know you needed! Once you have a stellar cook book holder like The Brilliant Reading Rest, you won’t know how you ever lived without it. Sure, you might be able to get by without a cook book holder, but your cookbooks might end up messy!
If I don’t print out my recipe from a website or try to follow a recipe from my iPad, then I have a cookbook open while I’m cooking. Since my 9-year-old daughter likes to help out with the cooking, a cookbook holder has come in very handy! It’s just one of those little things that make life easier that you won’t know how you survived without it once you have it.

A Powerful Food Processor
I think everyone needs a Nutribullet Pro in their kitchen. I had no idea how much use I would get out of a small food processor until I got this one. It’s small, space saving design makes it so that I can leave it on the counter all the time, rather than having to constantly take it in and out of the cabinet. I use it for everything from smoothies, protein drinks, and fresh juices to soups and sauces. I absolutely love this little food processor!
It’s really powerful and fairly easy to get your hands on one for less than $100. With its vast variety of uses, versatility, and small design, it’s really worth the investment. I highly recommend the Nutribullet Pro 900!
