Review: Wrinkle Free 20-Minute Eye Lift System

The company approached The Fashionable Housewife blog to review the 20-Minute Eye Lift system. I jumped at the opportunity since I am 61 years old and could use a little help with my wrinkles!!! The kit is supposed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles up to 85% in only 20 minutes. That sounded great to me, so I was really looking forward to trying it out.

The 1 month kit comes with 4 micro-charged eye patches, but I was only given 2 patches to review. I followed the directions exactly, but I unfortunately didn’t really notice a huge improvement with them. It did seem to make my skin feel a little bit softer and gave my wrinkles a slightly smoother appearance. I don’t think it was a 85% reduction in wrinkles though…

I used the Retinol 4X serum and the derma filler consistently and actually found some irritation from it. I experienced quite a bit of reddening and some burning, so I started only using it every other night which worked a lot better for me and I did notice firming and some tightening.

Overall, I did notice an improvement from using the products, but I was only able to use it for about 2 weeks. I’m sure if someone used the 1 month kit with all 4 eye patches, they would see more significant results. I think this product would be ideal for using before a special occasion like a class reunion or a vacation. Wrinkle Free Eyes is a great way to have your skin look fresh before a big event like a class reunion or wedding, but it can also be used on an ongoing basis to keep wrinkles away as well.

I don’t have many wrinkles on my face yet, but I do have some deep lines and wrinkles on my neck. I’ve been concentrating my application to my neck, chin and jaw line area. Don’t Let Your Finances Affect Your Face!

faceHave you ever looked in the mirror and noticed worry lines that were not on your face yesterday? As the economy takes a toll on our wallets, it’s easy to feel anxious and stressed about the state of our finances. It’s likely the current state of our economy is causing signs of pre-mature aging in the forms of unwanted fine lines and wrinkles!

According to a 2005 study conducted at the University of California, San Francisco, cells age much faster than they normally would if they were not under high amounts of stress. Far too many of us are speeding up our aging clocks by sweating over the current recession. However, there is good news for all who are experiencing signs of pre-mature aging in these sticky times. According to Ron Cummings, founder of AminoGenisis Skin care, there are several preventative and corrective stress measures people can take that won’t put a hole in their wallets.

Here are some tips to help you stay on track:

Stress Tip #1: Catch some Z’s!

    Don’t let sleep land at the bottom of your to-do list in times of stress. All three stages of sleep dissolve free radicals, which are notorious for their contribution to early aging. More specifically, the second stage of sleep is when hormone levels peak and cell repair takes place. Any damage to your skin that could be contributing to pre-mature aging is repaired during this stage. Try to get about 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night.

Stress Tip #2: You are what you eat.

    If you are well nourished, your body’s cells and skin may appear healthier. Neglecting balanced nutrition, deficiencies in vitamin A-B complexes and essential fatty acids hinder the skin’s natural ability to heal and renew itself, causing the skin to age considerably faster. Steer clear of sugar, caffeine, white flour, artificial sweeteners, and processed foods, because they provide cells with improper nutrients. Instead, load up on raw nuts, fruits, vegetables, brown rice, beans, lentils, organic cottage cheese, yogurt, and plenty of water! Healthy skin is also optimized to receive full benefits from anti-aging creams and treatments.

Stress Tip #3: Cut the habit.

    When people are stressed, they often reach for cigarettes or alcohol to release their anxieties. However, smoking uses up vitamin C in the body, which is usually used to preserve collagen in the skin, the substance that keeps skin plump and youthful. According to Ron, “at the very least wash your face every night to remove imbedded dirt, make-up, and other impurities accumulated throughout the day.”

Stress Tip #5: Be pro-active.

You have to push it just right to make it come out smooth instead of with bubbles and air… Not a huge deal, but for $200, you’d think the pump would be like sate of the art, or something. Other than that, the actual contents of the bottle are pretty amazing. I can’t wait to see if my skin changes anymore over the next few weeks.

It was very easy to apply makeup on top of both products. Some serums and eye creams are too rich and end up making makeup slide off the skin, but I didn’t have that problem with either one of these products. I tried both liquid foundation as well as mineral powder foundation on top, and both worked fine. I did use Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion, Eyeshadow Baseicon before applying eyeshadow though, but i do that no matter what.
