Okay I know what you’re thinking… these are ridiculous, right? I know at least three people that would die to have these boots. No, that doesn’t make them fashionable, but sometimes, you don’t have to be. These are so totally fun! I mean LOOK AT THEM!!!

Okay, so yeah… maybe we’re too old to be caught dead in something like, but I bet they would make a great gift for your daughter, niece or crazy friend! haha

What: Rebels Cayenne Red

Last but not least, the red statement boots. These look really comfy, super soft, and really cute too. A nice, bright red, but not too over the top. Great for everyday wear and the perfect way to brighten up a dull winter outfit.

I think these would look great with an all black outfit… But that’s just me. I’m a crazy girl sometimes.

Circular Scarves – Seen them?

This time of year you would be hard pressed to find me WITHOUT a big cozy scarf around my neck. Not only are they an amazing accessory to have on hand to perk up any outfit; they are just plain warm!

These circular scarves are awesome and they are popping up in all styles and colors these days. Pretty much it is just one big circle of scarf material and then you are free to wrap it as much or as little as you like! They are also called “eternity” or “moibus” scarves… call them what you like – I’m digging them!

Here are a few of my faves… courtesy of shopbop.com!

How hot does this look with the black biker jacket? And it’s on sale! I’ll take one of each, please!

Winter blahs, so soon?

I fall prey to winter blahs, easy-peesy. It’s a shame but I do and the first to go is the wardrobe. (maybe the hair when I get so sick of static…)

It seems a bit early for winter blahs already… but I find myself reaching for the same old pair of jeans and a black sweater already – just so you know this is my “winter uniform.” It could be worse – it’s not sweats! But still…

So I have compiled for you a couple of simple ways to jazz up a plain old pair of jeans and a black top. On the cheap! The key is to accessorize! Here are three ideas:

Old Navy has CASHMERE… and it doesn’t disappoint!

You heard me right gals, ca-ahhhhhh-shmere! Each of these go for LESS than $80 – and if you own cashmere you know that it can be a great investment that will last for decades if cared for properly! I was in the store and touched and swooned over these myself last weekend. If you haven’t seen them yet, swoon below and then head to Old Navy lickity-split to pick up a couple for yourself, your mom, your sister-in-law, aunt, friends, neighbors……

Boots! Boots! Boots!

If you live in a cold climate like me, this time of year doesn’t just mean shopping for holiday attire or holiday gifts… no, this is the time of year where you have to seriously look at your shoe wardrobe and find out what is going to work for snowy treacherous days (much like the one we are having in Michigan today!). For me that means that a lot of my shoes that are suitable for spring, summer and fall get put on the back burner for shoes that can, let’s face it – keep me steady, warm and dry amongst snow, ice and the worst – salt!

I’ll be honest that it makes me a little sad. I especially love to wear heels and flats with no socks (I would do it all year long if there were no snow… even with cold temps!) but if you have snow in your un-socked feet, even I know that’s a big pain!

So I chose some boots that will keep your little toes warm and safe (I have, ahem, been known to slip in the winter time – ouch!) while still looking cute and stylish – OF COURSE!

These boots by Merrell are cute, cute, cute and waterproof! Awesome!

Rockport makes these practical yet very chic boots… they come in a couple of colors but this black is very sassy!

The most unique, yet adorable boot I have found yet, is these great “VEGAN” faux leather boots by Earth. So cute with a little earthy-rocker-chick mixed in!
