Fall 2010 Shoes: Born Byrne Boots Review

Today’s Pick: Born Byrne

These boots are absolutely amazing! Right out of the box, I wore them for 6 hours in total comfort. Barefoot nevermind! No blisters, no rubbing, just supple, soft leather and a perfectly flexible sole.

These look fantastic with skinny jeans, leggings and tights with skirts and dresses. Very versatile. I like the western feel with modern styling.

I definitely recommend these boots! Not only are they comfortable and versatile, but they will last you many seasons to come. They are the perfect pick if you are looking to add a new pair of stylish boots to your Fall/Winter wardrobe.

I found them to be a little narrow for my feet. They changed so much during this pregnancy, but I have hope they will return to normal soon. I found they do fit true to size though, so you may want to order half size up if you have wide feet or want to wear them with thicker socks.

Review: Softspots Caylee Comfortable Wedge Sandals

Softspots Caylee

Please pardon my red, swollen feet as I am 33 weeks pregnant now and this is just what happens!

The Softspots Caylee (shown above in Navy) is a bold, patent gladiator dressed up with soft gold stud embellishments and a soft gold adjustable buckle.

They have an extremely comfortable 2 1/2 inch wedge heel that you can easily walk all day in. At least I could! I got these a little over a month ago and have worn them several times, and I haven’t had any issues with them at all.

I got these in a size 7 (my normal size) but I ordered the wide width instead of the normal width because my feet have been a little bigger than usual with this pregnancy.

Style: Five Stars! These are dressy enough to wear to semi-formal occasions like a wedding or bridal shower, but can also be worn with jeans, dresses, and dressier shorts. I read several reviews of these online and lots of women said they bought these to wear to work with slacks and suits. I agree these would be a great choice for work. They are very versatile. The patent leather makes them a little too dressy to wear with casual denim shorts, but the right accessories could fix that.
Comfort: Most comfortable sandals I’ve tried this season. All Softspots shoes feature Pillow Top™ technology in the footbed that absorbs pressure with each step you take. The straps are soft and don’t rub on toes or feet.
Value: Excellent value for the money. You will get a lot of wear out of these if you aren’t a homebody. These are perfect for work, events, everyday wear, and even semi-formal occasions. Once you get one pair, you’ll definitely want a second pair in a different color. They will quickly become your favorite heels!
Fit: Because they are available in sizes 5 – 12 and 4 different widths! Softspots is known for a great selection in sizes so you can get the perfect fit. Not to mention the unsurpassed comfort of the Pillow Top insole on all their shoes. There really is no comparison.

Available in Dark Brown Patent, Latte Beige Patent, Osso White Patent, Black Patent and Metall Navy Blue Patent.

Overall, I absolutely love these sandals and would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for comfy shoes with a heel you can wear all day long.

I’d love to hear what you think of these shoes. Would you buy them? What color would you get?

Review: Born Nordi Comfortable Strappy Sandals

Born Nordi

I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant, so please try to excuse my red, swollen feet and ankles. My feet don’t normally look like this… Honest!

My husband was nice enough to photograph me wearing these cute sandals so I could show you how nice they are. I’ve been wearing these Born Nordi sandals for about a month now and they have quickly become one of my favorite pairs of sandals this summer.

When you want the look of a strappy sandal, but not the height – this gorgeous flat is a terrific option. Reminiscent of the gladiator styles of last summer, these sandals offer style and versatility in one sleek line that will allow you to walk for hours in total comfort.

Style: Five stars! Now most gladiator sandals you have to be careful with because the ankle straps immediately add like 15lbs to your figure, making legs look short and stalky. You don’t have to worry about that with these cuties!
Comfort: The piece that goes between your toes is soft, cushioned and very comfortable. The footbed is fully cushioned, offers mild arch support, and is flexible so you can wear them for hours fresh out of the box, without a problem at all. I usually get blisters pretty easily and I haven’t had any irritation with these at all.
Value: Amazing. You’ll get a ton of wear out of these for the price. They can be easily dressed up for a wedding or dinner date, or dressed for for weekend wear with shorts and tank. You could get a pair of these in black and another pair in either silver or gold and never have to wear another pair of shoes all summer. They seriously look great with everything.
Fit: Perfect. You will be hard pressed to find another pair of flat sandals that are this comfortable, fit this nicely and can go with absolutely everything in your wardrobe. I got these in a size 7 (my normal size) and they fit me perfect. I have slightly wider than normal feet and I find these accommodate my feet quite well. They are so wide that they would look clunky on someone with slimmer feet though. They are just made perfectly.

These sandals come in black (shown above), silver and gold.

Review: Born Gladiolus Floral Blossom Sandals

Born Gladiolus

First of all, I’m 33 weeks pregnant, so please excuse my red, swollen feet!!! I’ve been on my feet all day and if you’ve ever been pregnant before, you’ll be impressed that I can still wear shoes at all. Oh and the beautiful french pedicure is courtesy of my gorgeous niece, Zaylie. :-)

Simple and elegant, this soft leather slingback is layered with pretty summer blossoms. The Born Gladiolus are some of the cutest sandals I’ve ever seen. Aesthetically, they are phenomenal and the comfort of the footbed is unsurpassed. The fit is a little complicated though and might not suit all feet.

Style: Five stars! Super cute sandals with adorable flowers that are summery and fun. They go great with dresses and skirts, but also look cute with capris and shorts too. I think these would look cute with skinny jeans as well.
Comfort: The footbed is extremely comfortable and they kinda feel like flip flops. However the heel strap doesn’t fit right and I don’t think it will for most people. If they would stay on my feet and the heel strap didn’t slip off, these would be extremely comfortable and I would be able to wear them for a long time because the footbed really is comfy and soft.
Value: If these fit perfect, the value would be on par. Because of the complicated fit, these are only worth it if they happen to fit your particular kind of feet. Of course everyone has different feet and shoes fit everyone a little different, but I personally think these shoes are not going to work for most people, unfortunately.
Fit: I feel like these fit a half size big, but I’m not sure if buying a size down would help. These only come in whole sizes, which makes getting the perfect fit a little complicated. If you have short toes and slender feet, with a deep indent above the back of your heel, then these might fit you perfect. I think my feet are the absolute opposite kind of feet these shoes are made for. I have longer toes, wide feet and almost no indent in the back of my heel for straps to rest on. If I could redesign these, I would make them slightly wider and have more of a gladiator style like the Born Nordi and then just added the adorable flowers. THEN these shoes would be perfect.

Available in orange, silver, black, green, and white.

Today’s Outfit: 4th Of July

I’m loving my Softspots Caylee wedge sandals. They are SO comfortable and the little wedge helps make my pregnant, swollen ankles look a bit thinner, making me feel a whole lot better about wearing shorts in public!

Happy 4th of July everybody! God bless America and thank the Lord we are still a free country!!

Softspots Caylee : Metall - Womens

Softspots Caylee

The gorgeous Softspots Caylee (shown in Metall) is so pretty, not to mention super comfortable. I’ve worn these twice this week and I got compliments both times! They are so soft and comfortable I can’t even believe it. The straps are soft, the footbed is soft, and the wedge is the perfect height. I could almost run in these (if I wasn’t pregnant…).

I highly recommend these if you are looking for a comfortable pair of sandals that will last all summer long and go with almost all of your outfits.
