Another Update On My Weight Loss

I’m pretty much convinced that Sensa works.

sensa_6monthLast week I told you that it was Time To Commit To Losing Weight. I weighed in at 124lbs and had lost 1 pound so far. Well now it’s the third week of January and I now weigh 121lbs!!! I am so excited!!! I am just 2 pounds away from comfortably wearing my pre-pregnancy pants.

I can’t tell you how elated I was to have to go looking for smaller pants. I went from wearing a size 10 in October – the biggest I’ve ever been – to needing a belt to keep up size 8 pants in December. This month I’m wearing some of my skinny size 6 pants and yesterday I actually pulled out a pair of size 4 jeans. And they fit.

I never thought that committing to losing this weight would make me feel so damn good. But it does. And it makes me want to keep going!

I don’t have hopes of being able to get down to my goal weight of 102lbs, but I figure I’ll be pretty satisfied if I can get down to around 110lbs. I only have 12 more pounds to go!

BTW, don’t freak on me! I know 103lbs sounds anorexic to a lot of people, but I am a very petite 5’2″ tall and used to be a professional ballerina and dance teacher. Since I’m not dancing 6 days a week anymore, I know it’s unrealistic to be 102lbs, so that’s why my goal weight is around 110lbs.

My friend Ashley is borrowing all of my size 2 skinny jeans as her “fat” pants… She just had her second baby in July and normally wears size 0 or 00 jeans. (Seriously, what size is double zero? Is that smaller than 0?) I don’t know how she does it… But anyway, I would LOVE to be able to borrow back all those jeans as my “skinny pants”. I hate thinking about how the smallest jeans I’ve ever fit into being someone else’s 6 months post-partum fat pants! Ugh. If that isn’t motivation to lose weight, I don’t know what is.

I’m pretty sure I owe it all to the Sensa weight loss program. I was hanging out around 130-135 pounds for over a year. Then I started using Sensa and have been losing weight ever since.

Check out the video for some details on

Granted, that for a little over a month, I have actually started exercising too. I don’t think that’s making me lose weight as much as it’s just building muscle though… I’m doing a 10 minute workout with a DVD I got on Gaiam.com. I try to do it 5 days a week, but it seems like I’m only fitting in 3 or 4 times a week.

In conclusion, I want to get down to 120lbs before February 1st. Be sure to stay updated on my weight loss. It may inspire you to lose those extra 10 pounds!

Tis The Season To Lose Weight!

weightlossWe recently took a poll to find out How Much Weight You Want To Lose. Looks like most of you need to lose 10-20 pounds (like me!) and the rest of you either need to lose 5-10 pounds (the hardest part) or 20-40 pounds.

Well tis the season to lose weight people! It’s a new year and it’s time for a new you! If you haven’t made it your New Year’s resolution to lose a few pounds, it’s not too late… It’s still January and you’re still chubby. Read these weight loss tips and then get off the computer already and lose some weight!

Our Top 5 Weight Loss Tips:

1. Don’t go on a crash diet. They never work. Instead, change your eating habits and the way you think about food. Start by finding a healthy meal plan and stick to it. I personally like Atkins. I’m currently on the Sensa weight loss program which is working WONDERS for me! I’ve lost almost 10 pounds so far! Also consider starting your weight loss program by going on a 1 week full body cleanse.

2. Don’t give up! If you get on the scale a few times and see you aren’t losing weight, don’t get discouraged. Just keep up with your diet, keep your health and weight goal at the forefront of your mind and don’t get on the scale for a few days. It’s like a watched pot never boils… Sometimes if you are thinking about it too much, you’ll get depressed and over eat and totally defeat your whole diet.

3. You must exercise! It’s not healthy to lose weight if you aren’t building muscle at the same time. If you’re only losing weight and sitting on your butt all day, you’ll be losing muscle mass too and that’s not good. Even if you are a busy mom and you can only fit in 10 minutes of exercise a day, do it. And yes, a little romp in the sack for 10-20 minutes does count as exercise, just don’t make that you’re only form of exercise!

4. Set small goals. If you need to lose 20 pounds, don’t think about losing all 20 pounds. Set small goals in 5 pound increments. Start off with 5 pounds a month. If you can commit to more, try 4 or 5 pounds a week. Don’t ever try to lose more than 1 pound a day though or your body will go into emergency mode and it will mess up your metabolism. By setting small weight loss goals, you can feel like you are accomplishing something all the time. You’ll feel better about yourself and you’ll want to do more!

5. Reward yourself. When you set that goal to lose 5 pounds this month, come February 1st and you get on the scale and see you’ve met that goal, reward yourself!! Go shopping and get yourself a new pair of shoes. Or maybe a new pair of pants a size smaller! Nice Egyptian cotton sheets are a sweet treat too. Just don’t treat yourself with a hot fudge sundae and you’ll be all set. Personally, I celebrate my weight loss goals with a Cosmopolitan.

My Super Duper Journey To Weight Loss

New year. New You! It’s time to wage war against your fat and put those muffin-tops and saddle bags to rest for good. Join us in losing 5 pounds this month!

I’ve been on a mission to eradicate adipose from my lower half for almost 2 years now. Half way into my pregnancy, despite my best efforts to not gain a huge amount of weight, I started looking like a blimp. Ugly stretch marks started to appear on my thighs, even though I slathered every anti-stretch mark cream and lotion available from my neck to my ankles at least 2 times a day. It didn’t work. Not only that, it made me feel like I did something wrong.

I tried so desperately to retain my perfect flesh as I watched it get ripped away from me as my body and belly grew bigger. By the time I gave birth, I didn’t even want to look at myself in a mirror, let alone be naked in front of one.

After months of trying to ignore how awful I felt about my body and just take care of my newborn, I finally decided I had to do something about it. My weight and the way I looked affected how I felt about myself so much, that it made going on with daily life extremely difficult.

This past Fall I started walking everyday, exercising, and was willing to try anything that might help. So I sent my squishy butt and saggy boobs to Mama Mio Bootcamp! After a little over a month on the program, I felt a huge change within myself as well as changes on the outside too. It really kicked me into high gear of taking my body back.

One More Attempt To Lose Post-Partum Pounds

This will be my last attempt in 2008 to try to lose those post partum baby pounds I keep toting around…

I started the Sensa weight loss program on 11/1. So far, so good…

What is Sensa?

Sensa is unlike any other weight-loss program. It is a 6-month system of Tastants that are sprinkled on your food to help you feel full faster, stay satisfied longer and lose weight.

It is not a diet. You can continue to eat all your favorite foods and still lose weight. There are no prepackaged meals, stimulants, drugs or diuretics.

It uses your senses of smell and taste to control appetite. Although many people think the feeling of hunger or fullness comes from your stomach – it is actually governed by the satiety center in your brain. When Sensa Tastants are sprinkled on food, it triggers this satiety center, so you feel satisfied with less food.

It is scientifically proven. Sensa’s patent-pending technology was proven to be effective in one of the largest clinical studies ever conducted on a non-prescription weight-loss product.

To learn more about Sensa visit www.trysensa.com.

Since starting Sensa on November 1st, I lost the whopping 8 pounds I gained during my 10 day vacation in Naples, FL. (How one gains 8 pounds in 10 days is beyond me… I’m not sure if it was just water weight or whether it was actual poundage from eating 3 meals a day in restaurants…)

I can’t tell if the Sensa helped me lose those 8 pounds or whether they just went away from coming home and starting to eat healthy again. I did notice that I have been eating a lot less since I started using Sensa. I’ve also replaced a couple of my regular meals with salads as well, which I’m sure helped a little bit.

Sensa is supposed to help you lose like 30 pounds in 6 months. Sounds great, right? Well 30 pounds is just about what I need to lose. I weighed 138lbs the day before I started using Sensa. I’m down to 130lbs today… I need to lose 21 pounds to be down to my pre-pregnancy weight and another 5 or 6 pounds to be where I want to be and used to be for most of my twenties…

So I’m pretty positive about Sensa right now… It seems like it’s working and that makes me happy!! Anything that will help me feel better about myself and help me look better deserves all the praise in the world!!! I will keep you updated on my weightloss…

Now to share the happiness… If you’re at all intrigued by Sensa and want to try it for yourself, you can get 15% off your order and free shipping with coupon code: rocketxl
