Today’s Outfit: TJ Maxx Score #5

Our TJ Maxx Giveaway is almost over! Have you entered yet??

I feel like I haven’t had enough time to show you all the outfits I can create with the items I purchased. I’ve been mixing and matching all 15+ items I got for under $200 with pieces that were already in my wardrobe to create new Fall/Winter outfits.

Today I’m wearing the oxblood burgundy print jeggings I purchased at TJ’s for $16.99. They were not on sale, but they were so unique and gorgeous, I couldn’t pass them up. Oxblood is a popular Fall trend this year and I just had to get something in this rich, stunning color. These soft, stretchy pants fit the bill. Love them!

Wearing them with a denim chambray button down shirt I bought on eBay and that black leather cropped jacket I got from TJ Maxx on sale for $20. Love it! On my feet, my favorite heeled boots this season – Dansko Nat Lace-Up Leather Boots.

Enter our ‘Score Big at T.J. Maxx’ Giveaway!

T.J.Maxx has always been my favorite place to shop because T.J.Maxx carries the same high-fashion designers that boutiques and department stores sell – at unbelievable prices and for up to 60% less!

I always check out the handbags as soon as I first walk inside the store. I then immediately head to the clearance section and scour the racks for my size! I always end up finding some ridiculously cute things for unbelievable prices.

In order to get my summer wardrobe ready for Fall, I needed a few key items. So I headed to my local TJ’s to see what I could find…

Looks like a major shipping spree, right? Well, what would have cost me over $1,500 in a department store cost me less than $250 in T.J.Maxx! Oh yeah, I’m a Maxxinista baby…

L to R: Knee socks for $8, fleece lined leggings for $5, dotted tights for $3, black leggings for $3, scarf for $3.99, and my favorite… leopard fur studded ballet flats for $16.99!

Fall Color Trend: Oxblood

Despite the somewhat ominous name, oxblood – a bold cranberry/burgundy shade – is one of the hottest hues for fall. This color plays well with gold, chambray and solids and can add a bit of mysteriousness to your existing wardrobe staples.

To ease into the trend, start by wearing a pair of oxblood heels with sleek skinny jeans and a blouse, or highlight your neutral pieces with a rich handbag in the shade. We’ve included a widget at the top of this post with style ideas for your perusal, so don’t be afraid to get creative.

Here, some other ways to wear the trend:

  • Vamp it up with an oxblood nail polish. This color will look best on short, slightly rounded nails.
  • A pair of pointed booties over a pair of opaque black tights and a form-fitting dress is perfect for a night on the town.
  • Wear a scarf in this bold hue to help you keep fall’s chill at bay while looking super stylish to boot.
  • Fedoras or cloche hats are cute, comfortable and just a little bit mysterious when done up in this rich red shade.

Now that we’ve given you some style ideas to try this season, why not show off your fashion know-how by sharing a picture of how you rocked the trend? No picture? No problem! Just share with us in the comments how you plan to incorporate this fall color trend into your wardrobe.
