Sperry Boat Shoes are THE shoes of the season right now! Everyone is wearing them and there are so many cute styles to choose from. I personally love leopard print so when I spotted these Sperry’s on FamousFootwear.com I knew I had to have them.

It took me three days of continuous wear to break them in, first day with thin socks. Now, they are super comfortable and I wear them all the time. I slip them on to run outside and hang laundry, I put them on to run to the store, or I put together a cute outfit to go with them, like the outfit above.

Outfit Ideas: Pops of NEON Colors

I posted this today’s outfit on my instagram account last week. I was anxious to put together an outfit to go with my new Blu Bijoux fashion jewelry from Max & Chloe.

I’m absolutely in LOVE with this Blu Bijoux Fuchsia Pyramid Necklace and this awesome Blu Bijoux Silver Wide Diamond Link Stretch Bracelet from Max and Chloe. I get SO many compliments on this bracelet every single time I wear it. It’s on sale and comes in a few different colors, so go snatch one up quick before they sell out. This is one of those statement pieces you HAVE to have!

I know some people aren’t crazy about the socks with sandals trend, but I’m wearing it and I think it’s working… Especially since these gray Aerosoles sandals have a perforated print that lets the neon color of my socks through. I promise you, this would look even better if I was tall! Being that I’m only 5′ 2″ I can’t always get away with trying out every trend and style.

TJ Maxx Style Scout Blogger Challenge – Stripes!

The Fashionable Housewife teamed up with A Few Goody Gumdrops recently to take part in the Maxx Style Scout Blogger Challenge. We were given a $100 gift card to shop at T.J. Maxx (our FAVORITE store!) and were sent on a mission to create a designer outfit for less based on the spring trend of black and white stripes.

Here is a snippet from our experience:

“Sarah received a T.J.Maxx gift card and we shopped til we dropped. We choose to style Sarah in one of this season’s hottest trends….black and white stripes. T.J.Maxx provided us with endless possibilities to find our personal style. We sought a very cool fashion-forward look.

If you ask me….Sarah and I did an amazing job with the designer outfit and accessories we chose. Sarah’s hair, makeup and cutting edge black and white nails were the perfect compliment to her ultra stylish outfit.” [Source]

I am SO honored to have had the opportunity to work with A Few Goody Gumdrops and TJ Maxx. I had an awesome time shopping in TJ’s (as I always do!) and I’m so amazed that we put together this fabulous outfit for $100! I am most excited about the ultra cool denim and leather biker jacket that was on sale. It’s so gorgeous and I will be able to style it in a million other outfits!

I saw so many things in TJ Maxx that were both totally on trend and very affordable. I could have spent many more hours in the store than I did because there was just so much to see! I will definitely be heading back there this coming week to grab a few more things including some home decor items for my living room that I am re decorating.

TJ Maxx has amazing designer items for a lot less than department stores, so you can leave knowing you will look like a million bucks but didn’t have to spend a million bucks! :-)

Outfit Ideas: Mint Green and Coral

Mint green and coral are two very popular spring colors right now. So many different ways to wear this color combo and today I think I hit the nail right on the head with this one.

I layered a Neon Coral Sweater ($32/Gap) with a mint green leopard print blouse (similar here) underneath. I thought ankle zip jeans (similar here) would be appropriate with the sandal booties I couldn’t wait to break out!

I’ve been wearing this 2 Stone Custom Sterling Silver Infinity Birthstone Necklace from Eve’s Addiction ($42) almost non stop since I received it. I had it customized with the birthstones of my two kids. It’s simple, elegant, goes with every outfit and everything I wear, plus it’s a great reminder of my kids. (They are with me 24/7 – like I really need a reminder! lol) I love this piece though and I think it’s a great Mother’s Day Gift Idea.

I’m also loving this Two Tone Enamel Bangle in Electric Blue from Coldwater Creek ($30). It’s comfortable, easy to put on and off with the hinge design, very versatile because of the two tone colors and I get compliments on it all the time. They have a lot of great jewelry and accessories on sale right now. (Another Mother’s Day gift idea for ya!)
