I chose the Here to Eternity Set, which let me tell you, is just lovely. Jewelmint sends their jewelry in a precious mint green box tied, literally, with a bow. Receiving this piece was quite the experience. Dainty and right up my alley, this piece is simple yet statement worthy. I received multiple compliments on how adorable this necklace and earring set is. While I know that Jewelmint prides itself on being affordable (which is awesome), they don’t compromise on quality. This set seems more expensive. Kudos Jewelmint for finding a fan in me! I have definitely become a member.

JewelMint is a monthly membership program, so after you make your first purchase, you will receive a charge of $29.99 each month that provides you with one credit. These credits can be used on any piece of jewelry and are good for a year! Please know that you are not obligated to receive this monthly charge, and are welcome to skip any month you wish by simply selecting the “skip this month” option in your Showroom. If you want to avoid this charge, you must make sure to do so before the 5th of the month or you will receive a credit. Don’t be apprehensive, you control the purchases.

Fashion Tips for Moms on the Go

Moms are busy! You get the children up and ready for the day, ensure the older ones get off to school with their lunches and backpacks, and you plan daily activities for the younger ones. If you are like most moms you also clean the house, do yard work, wash laundry and a zillion other things to keep your home beautiful and running smoothly. So, when you get ready in the morning, you probably choose clothing and accessories that won’t interfere with your day. It’s tough to chase toddlers while wearing heels!

 

Yes, moms, you are busy but that doesn’t mean you have to give up on fashion completely.

Make Statement Jewelry with Michaels Craft Store

Being a Lucky Magazine Style Blogger, I was given the opportunity to shop Michael’s with a complimentary $50 gift card to make a jewelry “statement piece” and show you what I designed!

I had shopped in Michael’s before but not in several years. I was absolutely shocked at the enormous variety of beads and jewelry making accessories they had!

We’re talking like 3 double sided isles of beads galore! I couldn’t believe my eyes! I had extensive experience with jewelry making during teenage years, oh so many years ago it seems, but I had never seen so many beads in my life….

It was a daunting task trying to choose the beads to make just ONE item. I was in the store with my 3 year old daughter and 9 month old son for almost 2 hours. It was a little bit of a living hell trying to think and pick out beads and keep my kids occupied, so I ended up buying more than I needed, spending over $100 getting beads and accessories…. enough to make at least 3 necklaces. Whoooops…..

Course once I got home, it was another thing entirely trying to find time to sit down by myself and actually MAKE something! lol It took me several days to find time, but I finally managed to design and build a really awesome necklace!

It’s got some pretty awesome black beads, vintage gold chains and baubles, and some other neat things. I think it’s way cool. Don’t you agree???

And here is what it looks like on me….

I’m really happy with my eclectic little creation and it took me about an hour to make after I selected the beads and everything.
