Getting Revenge In Style- Part 2

Yesterday I shared my love of Revenge- particularly the fashions those Hamptons ladies wear. In honor of tonight’s finale, I created the following tribute: a fashion face-off between neighboring nemeses Victoria and Emily. As value is always a priority here, I found Grayson-worthy pieces for Stowaway prices.

Since Victoria loves to be the center of attention, she never shies away from color. Her wardrobe is full of conspicuously expensive dresses that fit her like a glove and bold, “notice me” accessories.” (Remember this necklace?) The trickiest part of her look was finding the dress. Rich color + formfitting often looks cheap, something the Queen of the Hamptons certainly isn’t. I hit gold when I found the fabulous Lauren by Ralph Lauren below.

As for Emily, I get the feeling that her pointedly neutral, perfectly classic wardrobe is meant to suggest a blank canvas– revealing nothing about her tormented psyche. (And BTW, she totally validates the ancient proverb, “Any woman wearing that much beige is hiding something.“) Regardless, I love her look and had fun putting together the Emily-appropo ensemble below.

A bead is defined as a small object that varies in shape. Beads feature small hole that run entirely through their middle section, allowing threading to occur. Not only can beads be different shapes, but they can also be made from a variety of different materials as well.

Glass, stone, and plastic are the three most common materials that beads are made from. However, it is possible to locate beads that are made from special types of materials, such as coral, metal, pearl, bone, and other types of natural minerals.

Beads are available in many different shapes and sizes. The size of a bead can be anywhere from under a millimeter in size all the way up to a centimeter in diameter.

There are many different classifications of beads, which helps make it possible for people to customize handmade creations that they are creating from the beads. Some different types of beads are bone and horn beads, vintage beads, ethnic beads, furnace glass beads, and lead crystal beads.

Beads have been around for centuries. In fact, many scholars believe that every person that is alive today had an ancestor that did some type of beadwork in their lives. Some of the oldest mentions of using beads date back over 40,000 years. Some scholars believe that the origin of beads dates even further back than what we know of.

When a person creates things from the usage of beads this person is referred to as a bead worker. A person that participates in bead working will use many different techniques to create different items with beads as their primary material of choice.

Beads can be used to create jewelry, to make clothing, on a loom, as well as off a loom. Bead embroidering and bead crocheting has been around for years.
