The Products

I was sent the Complete Brush Set with a brush roll in Black, the Hollywood Glamour kit in Princess Grace and the Travel Brush Kit in Pink. I was immediately impressed with the 2-day shipping and beautiful packaging. Each purchase comes with a pamphlet describing company goals and how to use each brush-perfect for beginners! The brushes are gorgeous and nearly exact duplicates of brushes you’d find at the MAC counter. Each brush does exactly what they’re made to do-and beautifully! The bristles are extremely soft, which is perfect for those of us with sensitive skin. The travel size is perfect to stash in your purse or for weekend trips and fits perfectly into the Glamour makeup bags!

My Recommendations

I think Sigma brushes are a great personal investment, but would also be wonderful gifts for birthdays, Christmas, bridesmaids, etc. Now, you can even build your own brush kit! Here are a few of my favorite brushes:

-F80 Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki-I can’t begin to describe the flawless look you’ll achieve by using this brush with your foundation! Works like a dream with powder or liquid, giving you an airbrushed look! Incredible!

-F30 Large Powder Brush-So wonderful for setting powder or blush. Spreads product perfectly.

-Hollywood Glamour Retractable Kabuki-You can load product on it in the morning, pop the top on and touch up your blush on the go! So cute, so girly-you’ll turn heads with this convenient brush!

-E40 Tapered Blending Brush-This brush is a staple in any collection. Great for placing color on the brow bone or blending color into your crease.

-E20 Short Shader Brush-This short-bristle brush packs color on your lid right where you want it.

Wrap-Up

Sigma Makeup has, as they say, exceeded my expectations. I plan on expanding my collection even more in the near future with their new brushes and bedazzled heart-shaped mirrors. For years, I used those cheapy sponge-tip applicators you get in a compact and never knew what I was missing. Sigma Makeup has forever changed the way I do my makeup!

Review: L’Oreal Paris True Match Roller Perfecting Roll On Makeup

I’m sure you’ve seen the commercials for L’Oreal True Match Roller Perfecting Roll On Makeup by now, right? I have to admit… they have some pretty clever marketing! Whoever is doing the commercials for L’Oreal deserves a raise because everytime I see one of their commercials, I want to try their products!

This one really intrigued me…

True Match Roller Perfecting Roll On Makeup delivers perfectly even coverage and the ultimate air-brushed finish thanks to its innovative roller applicator and incredibly flexible formula. This beauty breakthrough applicator adapts to the curves of the face as it gently and smoothly applies the True Match Roller foundation formula for a completely natural look. It’s convenient, portable and incredibly easy to apply. Available in 12 skin-matching shades, it follows the same warm, neutral and cool skin tone and numeric depth level shade matching system beloved by women and makeup artists everywhere.

L’Oreal sent me the makeup in 2 different shades to review. I didn’t get to pick which shade I wanted, so I was nervous about the color. I went ahead and tried it anyway, before I walked out the door one day, and luckily it was the perfect shade for me!

The application is amazing. SO much better than pumping it out and spreading it on with your fingers… It rolls on smoothly and looks flawless. I’ve never had ANY makeup foundation apply like this ever. It’s a little tricky to maneuver the roller around your eye area, but after 2 or 3 uses, you’ll figure it out and be applying it like a pro.

This isn’t long lasting without a primer, so I recommend prepping your face with either Urban Decay “Pore Perfecting” Face Primer or MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Microperfecting Primer. Both work great with this makeup from my experiences.

Get Glowing Skin With Perricone No Foundation Foundation

5122Dr. Perricone recommends you apply No Foundation Foundation on top of other treatments and/or moisturizers. In gentle, circular motions, apply all over your face and reapply as often as necessary.

I found that applying a moisturizer first is absolutely essential. This is not a primer, it’s a foundation. I saw several reviews on Sephora that complained that this was a lousy primer…? I’m not sure why they were under the impression that this was primer. It doesn’t say that anywhere in the description. Perhaps Sephora mistakenly listed it under primers for a little while and then corrected the problem? I have no idea. Either way, I definitely wanted to point out that this is not a primer and if you think it is, you probably won’t like it.

I actually recommend using Urban Decay’s Brightening Complexion Primer Potion as a primer and then using the No Foundation Foundation on top. If you have dry skin, you should use something like Perricone’s Neuropeptide Facial Contour Cream first and then apply the foundation on top.

perricone_foundation2Forgive, I’m not used to taking pictures of makeup swatches! You can see that the color of the foundation is darker than my actual skint tone, but once you apply, it completely blends in with your natural skin color.

You only need a tiny bit! One pump is the perfect amount to apply over your entire face. About half a pump is all you need to cover your neck and blend down into your chest (if you are so inclined). If you use too much, it will not blend as well and you may be unhappy with the results. Less is more with this product and it really does perform quite well.

If you don’t like the feeling of heavy foundation or you don’t usually wear any foundation at all, then you’re going to love Perricone’s No Foundation Foundation. I think it is ideal for women ages 35 – 65. If you are under 35 or have oily skin, you may want to apply a light powder on top if you feel that it leaves your skin too moist and shiny. Anyone with normal to dry skin is absolutely going to love this foundation!

For about a week now, I’ve been playing around with some luxury cosmetic products from Darac Beauty and I am loving Feature Focus, a trio of cream gels that are designed to enhance your best features and play down those that are not your favorite.

Best of all, it comes with a Looking Glass Cheat Sheet, a portable acetate facial silhouette that clings to your mirror to help you apply the cream gels perfectly. It marks out which cream to apply to each part of your face to quickly blur away imperfections, fine lines, and wrinkles.

Forgive - The light colored shade found in the largest pan brightens skin, softens the appearance of lines, wrinkles, and blurs discolorations. I like this one because it gently filled in pores, evened out my skin tone, and reduced dark circles and lines under my eyes.

Forget - the medium toned cream illuminates the skin, eliminating darkness and shadows while accentuating eyes and lips. Almost like a concealer, but not as thick. Each cream is sheer, but delivers amazing results.

Frame - the dark colored cream defines facial features like your cheekbones and law line. It’s the perfect shade to sculpt your cheekbones, making you look 5 pounds lighter in less than a minute. It’s so easy to apply and makes a world of difference.

It only took 5 minutes to apply and I couldn’t believe the results. I don’t usually like wearing foundation or powder because it ends up feeling heavy and looking unnatural. This was totally different. It left my skin looking totally natural and illuminated, while hiding dark circles, lines, and other imperfections. It’s completely different from anything I’ve ever used before so I can’t even compare it to another product. Just amazing!
