HKNB Fashionable & Stylish Workout Wear

If you’re anything like me, you probably have trouble staying motivated and sticking to your fitness routine. Every day I come up with a bunch of excuses (to myself) of why I don’t need to workout that day or why I have something else to do that’s more important. I’m too busy today, I don’t have the energy, my weight is ok today, my jeans fit fine today I’ll wait till tomorrow, I have too many things on my to-do list to make time today, I’m having my period, I have a headache, my knee hurts, my asthma symptoms are acting up today, and the list of excuses goes on and on…

Sometimes one of the only ways I can get myself to actually workout is to get on the stair stepper while I’m watching recorded episodes of The Carrie Diary’s or Dancing With The Stars (my guilty pleasure.) My (attempted) daily workout routine usually consists of yoga, walking and the stair stepper. One of the ways I keep myself motivated is to wear stylish workout clothes! Wearing pieces that flatter my body help me feel confident which helps me stay motivated.

Today I started off my morning with my own little modified version of yoga and some stretching…

Heidi Klum for New Balance Workout Wear

Heidi Klum for New Balance Workout Wear

I was treated to four pieces from the new collection by Heidi Klum for New Balance that I couldn’t wait to try out. Above, I’m wearing the HKNB Coverup ($79.99) and HKNB Tech Capri ($74.99).

What’s nice about the pieces in her new collection is they are appropriate for any kind of workout routine. Whether you like running, walking, dancing, yoga, pilates, aerobics or just going to the gym, any of the items in the Heidi Klum for New Balance Collection will easily fit into your workout wardrobe.

Once I warmed up, I took off the super soft and comfortable coverup and stripped down to the HKNB Tunic Tee ($39.99) in florescent green. I love how thin and lightweight this tee is. It’s very stretchy and soft, making it very comfortable to workout in. The Tech Capri’s are equally as comfortable. Slim fitting and super stretchy, I feel totally unrestricted wearing these – like I could do anything! Same with the HKNB Essential Tight ($74.99) which are pretty much my favorite leggings now. They have cute shirring/gathering at the ankles, a hidden pocket in the waist band for your keys (or other small items) and are made of a moisture wicking fabric.

All four of the pieces I received to review fit perfectly, were very comfortable and flattering as well. My favorite pieces was definitely the HKNB Coverup. I am absolutely in LOVE with it! It’s super soft on this inside, which is great against bare skin, unlike most workout sweatshirts. I also appreciate that it’s long enough to cover my butt, which is essential in my opinion! Another neat feature is the thumb holes in the sleeves and the large kangaroo pocket in the front. Perfect for putting your hands in or throwing your cell phone or iPod into. This coverup has such a nice shape to it and is so stylish that I can definitely wear it even when I’m not exercising. It’s definitely going to be a part of my daily wardrobe, not just my workout wear.

Bio Ceramic Anti-Cellulite Shorts Make Inches Disappear!

I recently lost a lot of weight on The Dukan Diet and very successfully managed to get back to my pre baby weight. And not my ‘before my second baby’ weight… my ‘before my FIRST baby’ weight. I now weigh the same as I did when I got married. Totally great… makes me super, super happy. However………. I don’t look like I did when I was 18 anymore! Hmm, go figure… Amazing what growing two brand new human beings in your body will do to it.

So needless to say, I have some…er….. rough edges? Few stretch marks… little bit of cellulite… no boobs…. but I can’t complain too much. I could look a lot worse!

Thankfully, I found Delfin Spa Bio-Ceramic Shorts to help in my fight against gaining back extra pounds and combat all that cellulite.

Delfin Spa’s Cellulite Reduction System is an effective and convenient means to reduce visible cellulite and leg circumference. The system comprises Bio-Ceramic lined neoprene shorts and specially formulated Anti-Cellulite cream. Delfin Spa’s Anti-cellulite cream utilizes a combination of natural plant extracts to lessen cellulite, improve micro circulation and assists in reduction of retained liquid.

Delfin Spa’s Bio-Ceramic shorts act as a thermal agent to improve the penetration and efficacy of the Anti-Cellulite cream. They are comfortable to wear and thin enough to wear under clothing while going about your daily activities. The bio-ceramic material is the key to Delfin Spa shorts not being bulky as it reflects your body heat back into you.

I wear them almost everyday now. I had friends and family comment on warmer days “How can you stand wearing those?! Aren’t you got and sweaty under there?” lol Um, yeah… that’s the point! And now that it’s freezing here, I find the extra layer helps keep me warm. Admittedly I don’t sweat as much with these on when it’s cold, obviously, but I hope they are still working!

I use these as my secret weapon to help whip me back into shape if I’ve been cheating on my diet for a few days… (Sshhhh, don’t tell Dr Dukan!). They help reduce water retention (hence the sweating) which is especially helpful during “that time of the month” when you are more likely to retain extra water and bloat. I really feel like these shorts help me fight back.

Increased heat and molecular stimulation enhances the effectiveness of your exercise by increasing blood flow and accelerating your metabolism so you can burn more calories. Bio Ceramic shorts also improve the effectiveness of any anti-cellulite cream by making it penetrate deep into the skin and the cellulite. These shorts are a great option to wear during yoga class too.

This summer I tried a similar pair of exercise shorts as these and they worked just as well, but Delfin Spa shorts are HALF THE PRICE! (They are on sale right now for $51.99 and they come with Anti Cellulite Cream (6 oz)!!!!)

Bonus! These come in Extra Small (which is the size I got) and the other ones I reviewed do not, which made them eventually fit quite baggy on me making them completely ineffective. You want these to fit like a glove… like a wet suit… very form fitting, in order to get the benefits from wearing them.

Purchase these shorts and other anti-cellulite products on DelfinSpa.com

Zaggora Hot Pants Review – Lose 2 Jean Sizes in 2 Weeks!

Last week I mentioned I was reviewing Zaggora Hot Pants. I wore them for 3 days and noticed immediate results! Not only did I lose one whole pants size in the first 3 days, I literally lost noticeable inches from around my waist, hips, butt and thighs.

I didn’t wear them every single day for 2 weeks like I was supposed to, but I did wear them for at least 14 days within a 3 week period. I absolutely contribute some of my weight loss success with The Dukan Diet to be partly due to the Zaggora HotPants.

Adding Exercise to Your Life: The Fitness Challenge

I have a dirty little secret to share with all of you: I don’t exercise. Ever. It’s probably been about five years since I really did anything physical.

With each passing year, however, I know that I should really do something to change the way I behave (I’m a pretty severe workaholic. I bet those of you who know me are surprised I admitted it, but it’s true!)  and take care of my body better… because while I’m kind of thin, I also get winded after a couple of flights of stairs. Not cool and definitely not healthy.

It’s definitely time for a change, and I’m ready to make it. After all, I want to start out the next month right! So, I have a proposition for those of you reading here today: at least one of you has to love working out (or you do it frequently enough to know a lot about it).

I’d love to hear your tips, tricks and favorite workout techniques. Since I know less than nothing (I’ve only ever worked out for unhealthy reasons, and I don’t want to do that again!) about fitness and health, I figured there were no better women to come to about this than our readers and friends here at The Fashionable Housewife.

So, what’s your favorite type of exercise? How do you refuel after you’re done (since I’m pretty sure my dinner of Goldfish and Thin Mints probably isn’t one I should keep pursuing)? When do you find time to fit it into your busy, child-filled schedule? And, more than anything else, how do you stay motivated?

If we can get my tush into gear, I’m hoping that I can prove that even someone who is fitness-averse like me can get into shape and be healthy!

Want to join the challenge and stay updated with what’s going on in my new attempts at fitness? Want to change your lifestyle along with me? Email me at jaime@thefashionablehousewife.com. We can offer each other support and motivation!

FitFlop Electra Sandals for Spring – Summer 2010

FitFlop’s most delicious creation – the sequin-smothered Electra. It sold out at lightning speed last summer, leaving many a firm-bottom, fashion loving FitFlop fan disappointed. Well, they’ve made more of them this year, but we still recommend you get yours quick, just in case!

You can purchase the Electra at Piperlime.com for $60, ShoeBuy.com for $60, Endless.com for $60 and of course at Macy’s and Nordstrom as well.

This season’s Electra has a new super-slim™ leather toe post, and (for those of you who own every other color like me) they’ve added a new one in pewter.

All FitFlops are built with their muscle-activating Microwobbleboard™ midsole technology —so you get a workout while you walk.

I own 4 pairs of FitFlop sandals and 2 pairs of the FitFlop Mukluk Boots. I’m a huge fan of FitFlops because they actually deliver the results they promise. If you have any questions about FitFlops or your hesitating buying a pair for yourself, leave a comment and let me know! I can help you decide if they would be right for you.

If you have a pair of FitFlops, leave a comment and tell me which ones!

Today’s Outfit: FitFlop Billow Mules in Camel

fitflop_billow1

No, those aren’t Ugg boots! They are Fitflop Billow mules in Camel and I like them very much!!

The lovely people at FitFlop are too cheap to send me a pair, so I had to save up and buy myself a pair… on eBay. I got them for $60 with free shipping, which isn’t an amazing deal, but it was better than nothing. They retail for $99 so I got them for like 40% off and they are bran new. So I was quite pleased.
