Comfortable Sandals for Women with Problem Feet

Not everyone can wear stilettos and high heels all day long! They are pretty and all, but let’s face it, most of them are pretty darn uncomfortable! Don’t worry, there are comfortable shoes in the world. You just have to know where to look.

When I was pregnant, my feet grew (swelled) almost a whole shoe size and none of my shoes fit. I pretty much lived in flip flops for my entire pregnancy because it was the only thing that would fit on my poor, fat feet. They weren’t very comfortable though, nor did they provide any support. Pregnancy does a lot to your body and wearing comfortable shoes or sandals during that time is quite important.

Pregnancy isn’t the only time comfortable shoes are a requirement. If you have young children you need to chase around all day, chances are you opt for comfortable sandals during the summer. And yet if your kids are all grown up and you are over 40, you probably have trouble feet and can’t wear those pumps anymore anyway.

Whether you suffer from diabetes or just have problem feet with issues like corns, bunions, custom orthotics or have recently had foot surgery, you need a comfortable pair of sandals you can wear all summer long. We found JUST the pair!

My Review:

DiabeticShoesHub.com specializes in offering a wide selection of comfortable footwear for people with problem feet. I had the opportunity to review the Drew Milan Sandals and I found these shoes to be supremely comfortable. Not something I would wear everyday because they aren’t the most fashionable shoes in the universe, but if you are looking for comfort, support, ability to adjust and customize the fit as well as narrow and wide widths, then these are an ideal pair.

The casual style makes them versatile and easy to wear with anything in your wardrobe. The other day I wore them with my leopard print jeans rolled up, a white tank and a chambray button down shirt. I wore them all day and was amazed that I completely forgot they were even on my feet! I definitely recommend these sandals to anyone who is looking for supreme comfort this summer.

Dansko Nat Lace-Up Leather Boots Review

We received the Dansko Nat lace up leather boots last month to review and we’re pretty smitten so far.

First impression is that they are very sturdy and supportive, like all Dansko footwear. I love the studs and cute design on the toe. Overall, these are a really stylish and classy choice for Fall.

If you are looking for a shorter boot to wear with your entire Fall wardrobe, these fit the bill. They have a convenient side zipper, adjustable elastic gusset on side and adjustable laces for a truly customized fit. The heel is solid and has great balance and they are very easy to walk in. If you are looking for a little bit of height, without compromising your footing, these are the perfect choice.

SIZING: I normally wear a size 7 – 7.5 in most shoes. In Dansko, I wear a size 38 which is equivalent to a 7.5 or 8. I find that sizing up works best with Dansko, especially if they are a style you can wear socks with.

COMFORT: If you purchase the right size, you will find Dansko shoes to be extremely comfortable. They have a molded footbed that conforms to your feet. I have never had a problem with Dansko footwear rubbing or requiring a break-in period.

SUPPORT: These boots, like most Dansko styles, have very good arch support. If you do not like arch support, these may not be a great choice for you. I would recommend trying them on in a store instead of purchasing them online. The tall boot shaft lends great support to weak ankles and is an excellent choice for someone who wouldn’t normally wear heels because of the fear of discomfort and inconvenience. You will have so much confidence while wearing these boots.

OVERALL: Overall, I would definitely recommend these boots, especially to Dansko fans who are familiar with the feel and fit of Dansko footwear. I love the stylish studs, the lace up detail and the cute design on the top of the toe area. These are really cute and quite versatile.

You can wear them with skinny jeans tucked in, skinny jeans rolled up, boot cut jeans, leggings, tights, skirts, dresses and even shorts! Check out our post How To Wear Dansko Nat Lace-Up Boots for more ideas on how to wear these boots.

GIVEAWAY: Kalso – The Original Wellness Shoe

We’ve teamed up with Kalso Earth Shoe to give our readers a chance to win a pair of fabulous sandals!

Kalso is the original wellness shoe company featuring the “Negative Heel” designed to promote wellness and improved posture.

The first Kalsø Earth Shoe store opened on East 17th Street in New York City, coinciding with the world’s first celebration of Earth Day in 1970.

About Kalso

What started in Denmark in the late 60’s set off a global frenzy in early 1970 – the introduction of a line of comfortable shoes based on the simple principles of everyday, whole-body wellness. Shoes developed by a then-little-known Danish yoga instructor, Anne Kalso, that would trigger the emergence of the euro-comfort movement in the United States. Shoes with a negative heel based on the popular yoga “Mountain” pose, and designed to mimic walking barefoot in the sand by naturally positioning the body over the frame. Shoes that improved posture and reduced joint stress. Launching on April 1st – the first “Earth Day” – “Kalso Earth Shoes” would signal the humble beginnings of wellness footwear as we know it today. It would further serve as the seeds behind an entire portfolio of wellness-oriented comfortable shoes – including the original Kalso Earth Shoes, Earth, and Earthies – all of which are designed and developed by Earth, Inc. for the greater marketplace today. Spring Essentials: Foot Petals Sole Stopperz

A few weeks ago I got another new pair of shoes on Zulily (They are seriously super addicting!). These Sam & Libby Women’s Zippy Ballet Flats were on sale for only $11.49 (original $49.00). I couldn’t pass them up!

Only problem with them is again, some dude (because a chick would never design a shoe with a slippery sole unless they were for her worst enemy) decided that soft velvet-like soles would save them $0.12 over something more durable and slip-resistant like, say, RUBBER.

No problembo though. I just slapped a pair of Foot Petals Sole Stopperz in black on the bottoms. Just make sure soles are clean and these genius little grippers will stick for life.

Get a double pack of Foot Petals Sole Stopperz from Beauty.com or Amazon.com for around $7.

Today’s Outfit: Dansko Pippa Clogs (NOT Crocs!)

Today I am wearing the latest addition to the Dansko family – the Pippa! An adorable clog that comes in six eye-popping colors (teal, yellow, orange, blue, black and magenta).

This updated version of the Dansko classic clog was inspired by high fashion’s molded footwear trend. The Pippa is a pop of color for any outfit.

These cool Spring clogs feature a molded foot bed that lends outstanding support, a secure tread, and a polyurethane insert to provide energy return, shock absorption, and flexibility making these clogs more comfortable than you can possible imagine. These really can be your go-to shoes for spring and summer. Whether you wear them to work or out to play, these clogs will not disappoint.

Enter to win a pair of Dansko Pippa clogs in our latest giveaway! Ends May 27th, 2012 at midnight. Click Here To Enter!

The thing I really love about these clogs (and all Dansko shoes) is the secure footing and dependable tread, which is really important to me as a mom, caring for young children. I need to know that I’m not going to fall head over heels while carrying a baby or a load of groceries! This momma gets a workout chasing around 2 kids and attempting to get work done so I am not in the time of my life where I can be running around into stilettos. So I am thankful for shoes like Dansko that still give me a stylish flair and yet are comfortable, durable, long wearing and dependable.

The Dansko Pippa is NOT, I repeat NOT a “Croc” in any way shape or form. Pippa is a stylish, expertly designed clog that will ensure comfort with every step. You will want one in every color, so you can wear them with every outfit all summer long!

Retail: $70-$115

Dansko Pippa Clog Comfortable Shoes Giveaway

We are giving away a pair of super fun shoes that we know you’re gonna love! And even if you aren’t a “clogs” type of person, at least give me the chance to talk to you into liking these because I honestly think they are great!

The Dansko Pippa has over 30 five-star reviews on Zappos alone for being comfortable, true to size, great for Spring and Summer, fantastic colors, breathable, cool and keep your feet DRY unlike other ‘plastic’ shoes… The consensus seems to be that these clogs are NOT Crocs and don’t even compare! (Although everyone likes to compare them to Crocs…) They are cuter, more comfortable, provide support for your feet and keep your feet dry (no sweating!) all day.

Perfect for gardening and any other passive, non athletic outdoors activities, as well as anyone who is on their feet all day (cashier, grocery-bagger, nurses, doctors, maids, teachers, hairdressers, or similar). These provide excellent support (although not a lot of arch support), they are great for people with wide feet and they are super fun. I mean look at the colors these clogs come in! Blue, orange, magenta, yellow, teal! Don’t worry they are also available in black for those of you too afraid of COLOR!!!!!

ONE lucky winner will receive a pair of Dansko Pippa clogs worth $80 in her choice of color and size (depending on availability) AND a bonus FREE Dansko Tote bag worth $20!

Pretend You’re At the Beach by Wearing Uggs

Sitting in my freezing cold office (because I’m too stingy to turn up the heat and increase my oil bill,) I was dreaming of warm sandy beaches and lazy summer days.  But my ice cold toes kept calling me back to reality, and then I stumbled across an ad for the new Uggs slippers.

Toasty warm, super comfortable, and now available in bright neons and tropical colors, you can imagine yourself swept away in a warm tropical breeze while your feet are warm and happy.  Apparently the Ugg marketing people were thinking the same thing, because look at the picture I found on their web site:

Awesome, right!  These Ugg Ansley slippers are available in a wide range of bright (and not so bright) colors and retail for $100.  My personal favorite is the pinky/purple Cactus Flower:

The best part about Ugg slippers is the lug sole.  Your feet are so warm and comfortable that you can forget you’re wearing slippers and actually leave the house in them, making a stylish yet practical statement while you run around town!  Uggs are available at most major retailers, and on-line at UggAustralia.com
