Day 12 of 12 Days of Style – Sequin Sweatshirt

What is 12 Days of Style? From now until Christmas, I’ve been attempting to wear something something fun, trendy or out of the ordinary to get myself out of a style slump! Here is Day 12!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas all! It’s day 12 of my 12 days of style! Do you think I made it out of my style slump?

I’m wearing a sequined sweatshirt that I bought at Target for $20. It’s a size small but I think it’s bigger than I wanted it to be. I hate returning stuff though… Am I the only one?

I’m wearing lace shorts with tights and my favorite black boots. I accessorized with a Betsey Johnson scarf and snowflake earrings. I know it’s not the most festive Christmas outfit I could come up with, but I’m comfortable!

Hope you all have a very Merry CHRISTmas today and get to spend it with your family! Love and hugs to all!

Today’s Outfit: My Best Friend’s Wedding

Yesterday, June 21st 2012, was my best friend’s wedding. She married the love of her life, whom she had been seeing for a little over 7 years. They are made for each other and the cutest, most sexy couple I know.

Jaclyn & Elijah

The Margate on Lake Winnipesaukee

Their fabulous reception took place at The Margate on Lake Winnipesaukee. The Lake has been a very special place for both my best friend and I, as it was where we met each other at the ages of 5 and 7 years old. Both our families vacationed there during the summers and we spent lots of time together on the lake. It was no surprise to me that she chose to have her wedding and reception at Lake Winnipesaukee. It’s very near and dear to both our hearts.

Circumstances made it not possible for me to be a part of her wedding party like she wanted, but I was so happy I was still able to attend her special day and be a part of one of the most beautiful and perfect weddings I have ever been to.

I chose an adorable dress for the occasion that my mother had to take in from a size 10, down to a size 4 to make it fit me after I lost 15 pounds on The Dukan Diet. I had my hair done at Cassandra Salon, by my stylist, Jon, the night before the wedding.

Even though I wore my tallest heels, I am still so much shorter than my gorgeous, long legged friend! She is like a super model… And she looks absolutely breath-taking in her amazingly angelic dress.

After hours of partying, music, dancing and the most delicious and divine food I have ever had at a wedding before, we headed outside to see the sunset over the lake.

Today’s Outfit: Tunic & Marika Miracles Slimming Capri

I got this super cool Shu Shu Orange Abstract Graffiti Tunic on ZULILY for only $24.99 (Originally $75). I don’t have much for orange in my wardrobe so this is me sticking my big toe into the water! It isn’t “orange” but it has enough orange in it to make me feel like I’m trying out the “orange trend” which is super popular for Spring 2012.

I didn’t think this tunic would be so huge on me when I bought it! On the model, it looked like a regular tunic… on me, it looks like a dress! I like it though because it’s a very comfy, stretchy material but it’s lightweight and airy for hot summer days. I’m wearing it with Marika Miracles Slimming Capris that have built in shapewear that slim your tummy and thighs. These capris feature power mesh on the side panels and on the waistband for compression and support, breathable gusset lining to keep you dry. I wanted them in a medium, but they sent me size small. To my surprise, they fit perfect and sucked everything in nicely without being too tight or uncomfortable. I love them!
