Today’s Outfit: Rock & Republic Destroyed Denim

Rock & Republic

Today I’m rocking some sweet fitting Rock & Republic Jeans with a cute top I snagged at Kohls last week for just $15.99.

First off, these jeans are amazing. They fit like a glove – as if they were tailored just for me! I’m 5’2″ weigh around 110lbs and the size 2 fits like a dream. They have just enough stretch to them to be comfortable, but not so much that they start looking like leggings. Very flattering cut and the sequins behind the distressed holes are a unique and surprising touch. The style is Rock & Republic Berlin Distressed Skinny jeans and while they retail for $88.00, we all know that you never pay full price at Kohls! Almost everything is always on sale and there are so many ways to save at Kohls, it’s ridiculous.

Rock & Republic Distressed Jeans

My favorite section to shop in Kohls? The jewelry section! I always find so many awesome pieces for insane prices… We’re talking like less than $5 per piece.

The necklace I’m wearing was $3.60, people. How do you beat that?

These two Rock & Republic for Kohl’s bracelets are no exception either. Each one was less than $5 on sale! You’ll have to head into stores to find these pieces because I think the whole Rock & Republic jewelry line is on sale right now. I bought at least 10 pieces… Everything was so cute, I couldn’t resist!

These Rocket Dog Black Ankle Booties are going to get a LOT of wear this Fall. So many different ways to wear them and they are surprisingly comfortable.

Kohl’s provided me with the Rock & Republic Jeans for this review/post.
They also provided me with a gift card to complete my look.
My thoughts and opinions are my own, regardless of monetary compensation.
My opinion is that Kohl’s is pretty, damn awesome.

Personal Weakness: Shopping on RueLala.com

I have a confession to make… I am addicted to Rue La La and as far as I know, there is no known cure.

Best part of my weekend? Rue La La’s Sunday Night Styleathon Boutique. It opens at 8pm EST almost every Sunday night (as far back as I can remember!) and it features some of my favorite brands, although the brand selection and item choices are different every week.

ruelala

I’ve scored so many amazing items on Ruelala.com, it’s ridiculous. My latest score was a pair of Born ankle booties…

They retail for $125, the cheapest I found them anywhere online for was $94.99 on 6pm.com.

So when I saw these puppies on RueLala for only $59.90, (over 50% off!) you bet your sweet bottom I grabbed them so quick, my credit card didn’t know what hit it.

I was so excited when these arrived in the mail! They are so soft, supple, sumptuous and stylish. Now if some of this darn snow would go away so I could try them out, I’d be one happy, happy girl.

I’m going to use the excuse that I bought these for myself for my birthday…. It’s next Sunday, so it counts, right?

Day 4 of 12 Days of Style – Lost Propertee

Christmas is almost here and yet I don’t quite feel like I’m in the “holiday spirit” yet. So I’m going to try something desperate here… 12 Days of Style! From now until Christmas, I’m trying to wear something something fun, trendy or out of the ordinary! Here is Day 4…

I have WAY too many tees in my closet… Two stacks at least 12 inches deep… I must have over 50 tees and I barely ever wear them! I just can’t stop collecting unique and vintage styled tees. This tee was one I was happy to add to my collection and I finally figured out a cool way to wear it.

With a team of researchers scouring the planet for the best designs, Lost Propertee is in the business of recreating vintage-style, collectible t-shirts. Designs range from out-of-print logos to regional vacation designs and unique vintage-styles. All Lost Propertee t-shirts are printed on Gildan Soft style t-shirts which are 100% preshrunk ring-spun cotton jersey for comfort and ease of care. Lost Propertee t-shirts are available online at www.lostpropertee.com and in specialty boutiques, and are retail priced at around $25.00.

I’ve paired it with that leather cropped jacket I got from TJ Maxx during my recent shopping spree. for a tough grunge look.

Also, I’m in love with these boots. I was looking for the perfect ankle boots and I finally tracked down B.O.C. Belina on 6pm.com. They are SO comfortable! I am so glad I bought them.

Dansko Ryder Review – Comfortable Leather Ankle Booties

Before it starting snowing around here…. I was wearing the most LOVELY shoes that I am dying to tell you about.

Aren’t they beautiful? Those are the Dansko Ryder leather mule, available in black (as shown) as well as Brown Crazy Horse Leather and Brown Full Grain Leather.

I received a pair of black ones to review from Dansko. I was super excited to receive them and couldn’t wait to put together a cool outfit to wear with them.

The leather upper is handsomely crafted, with polished metallic accents around the trim that gives them a biker chic look. You can wear them with dark denims for a sleek, dressy-casual ensemble, or pair them with colorful leggings and a boyfriend blazer for a fun, day-to-evening look. Either way, these mules are a fashionable choice!

On top of that, they are very comfortable. I put them on the first day for about 6 hours and to my surprise I wasn’t dying to get home and take them off. Day two, same thing. Another 6 hours and I was positively impressed by how a hard shoe could be so comfortable.

I normally wear a size 7 1/2 (wide if available and depending on the style) and I got these in a 38. They fit perfect. They would be a little loose with nylons but are perfect with socks.

The 3 1/2 inch heel is easy to walk in and the rubber outsole provides great traction, which is a must for me since I am chasing around a 16 month old and a 4 1/2 year old.

Overall, I highly recommend these! The Dansko Women’s Ryder Bootie is an excellent choice for someone looking for a fashionable and sassy work shoe.

Comfortable Shoes Review | J-41 Temptation Booties

I’m absolutely in love with my new J-41 “Temptation” booties compliments of J-41.

This is my first experience with the brand and I have to say that I am really, really impressed.

First off, the shoes are really well made, comfortable and light-weight. I find them to be very easy to stand in, stable and had no problems after wearing them for several hours the very first time. They have a 31/2” heel but it does NOT feel that tall when you are wearing them. Perhaps it’s the platform in the front that makes them so comfortable and easy to wear.

They are also very, very fashionable! Cute fold-down cuffs with cute cutouts and the lovely ruching in the front. I happen to adore the warm chestnut color, but they also come in a dark chocolaty brown and black.

J-41 Women's 'Temptation' Ankle Boots

Winter Outfit Idea for Warmer Climates

It’s not warm here in the NorthEast anymore. In fact we’ve had snow several times this month already and I so disappointed that I only got to wear my lovely Fall clothes for like 2 months… All you lucky gals in California, Florida and other warm places though, get to keep rocking your Fall wardrobe for a few months. I envy you!

For you ladies in warmer climates, here is a fabulous Fall / Winter outfit to consider…

Edun at ShopStyle

I have a similar dress as the one shown above, which is why I picked it for this outfit. I actually have the Edun “Ainsley” White Print Dress that I got on Rue La La for only $35. You can get the Edun ‘Ainsley’ Organic Cotton Blend T-Shirt Tunic Dress shown above on Nordstrom.com for $170. It’s a fabulous basic that is versatile and will last you many seasons as it’s appropriate for Spring, Fall and Winter.

You can wear it in Fall and Winter with some cute tights like these Hue Paisley-Print Tights or for colder days, these extra soft Frenchi Ribbed Tights.
