Celebrity Fashion: Lindsay Lohan’s Hair

I’m totally loving Lindsay’s new hairdo. Although, it’s certainly not auburn, I do love her with long hair and the loose waves. I think this hairstyle looks fantastic on her. This is a perfect example of the Spring 2009 Hairstyles of Loose Curls and Waves.

How To Create This Look:

You’ll need a curling iron like the Conair Tourmaline Ceramic Deep Wave Iron with a 2 1/4″ barrel. Hold the curling iron so that the end is pointing downward. Wrap a small 1 inch section of your hair around the barrel of the curling iron. Do not use the clamp, because you don’t want tight curls, just waves. Leave hair wrapped around barrel for 10-20 seconds or till your hair is slightly curled.

When you hair cools off, tug at the end of each ringlet till they loosen up and look naturally curly. Start with the underneath hairs in the back until you get the hang of this technique.

Lightly mist with a light hold hairspray like Aussie Sydney Smooth 12 Hour Anti-Humidity Hair Spray.

Another easy way to create a similar look is to braid hair in 2 loose braids while hair is still damp and then let it dry overnight. Carefully take it out in the morning and don’t brush it out.

Finish look with a product that will add shine like Enjoy Shine & Smooth or Enjoy Shine Spray which will make your hair glisten in the sun. Just perfect for those warm Spring days!

By now, you already know that Current/Elliott Boyfriend Jeans are THE jeans for 2009.

If you’re looking for some ripped jeans but don’t want to pay $220+ on the Current/Elliott The Boyfriend Jean, then you’re in luck because I found some Low-Rise Boyfriend Jeans you can get for only $50 at Delias.com.

The cheapest pair I could find was on Sears.com for only $30. They call them Fragile Boyfriend Jeans. I hope they aren’t actually fragile though…

If you’re open to spending $128 for a pair, check out the Boyfriend Jeans in Santiago Wash from Guess.com. Pricey, but really nice looking!

And if you want boyfriend jeans without the rips and distress, try a pair from Victoria’s Secret. You can get their new Boyfriend Jean for less than $60.

Levis makes a pair of boyfriend jeans

… $248!!!!!!!!!

I’m sorry, but why? Am I the only one who was under the misconception that Levis made affordable denim??? Geez!!!!! Why would I pay $248 for a pair of Levis when I can get Current/Elliott jeans for $229?

Anyway…… I found another pair of bleach washed Boyfriend Jeans from American Eagle for $39.50 and a cute pair of Destroyed Skinny Crop Jeans and Ripped Boy Fit Jeans, both for $49.50.

So if you want to get on board with the ripped jeans trend, there are definitely some affordable options out there. And the good things is, anyone can wear this trend. You don’t have to be a stick figure to make this trend work. Boyfriend style ripped jeans look good on all shapes and sizes. If you need plus-sizes, you’re in luck because Torrid has a Light-Wash Rolled-Cuff Boyfriend Denim Jean for $52.00. They are really cute!

Because ripped jeans make such a big statement, keep the rest of your outfit simple. A basic tee and flip flops or gladiator sandals are the way to go. You can also wear a simple pair of flats.
