One of my pet peeves, so I pass this on every chance I get – just because you fit in clothes from the Juniors department doesn’t mean you should wear them! Age appropriate clothing is as important for a mother as it is for her 13 year old daughter or 5 year old daughter for that matter. There are plenty of cute, fashionable clothes made for ADULT women.

I got rid of all my unflattering jeans and man-cut t-shirts over a year ago. It felt great! I’m keeping my feminine-cut t-shirts though, especially in colors that flatter my complexion. I need practical, machine washable clothes that don’t need to be ironed or dry-cleaned! I’m a mom and a college student with no cause to wear silk or anything dry-cleanable!

It’s a great article but I think there’s one important factor you forgot…If you’re over 35, ditch the short shorts and mini skirts. I’m over 35 so I know what I’m talking about…trust me when I tell you that you look better with your thighs covered!
