Lanvin at H&M Starting November 20!

Looks like things might get crazy this weekend at H&M.  They are launching their newest designer collaboration with Lanvin November 20, and the press leading up to the opening is crazy!   According to one source, H&M will be issuing color coded bracelets to the first 320 people who show up and each color represents a specific shopping time in the Lanvin section of the store.  After the first 320 people have had their chance, the store will be opened to the public.  The best shopping tip I have read is to scour the dressing areas for unwanted items before they go back to the floor.  You never know what treasures you might find there!

I love H&M and I love Lanvin, but I’m not sure I have the emotional energy to weather this shopping extravaganza.  I’m thinking I’ll take my chances in a week and see what happens. How about you?  Are you planning on clawing your way through the crowds for some great deals on great fashion?

CUSP Offers a Wonderful On-Line and In-Store Experience

There is a CUSP store in one of the malls near my house.  I love shopping there because they rotate the merchandise about every 10 days and it’s one of the few places that my teenage daughters and I can both shop and find things that are fun and trendy and age appropriate.  Plus, they have a fantastic selection of shoes and the sales people are very familiar with the merchandise.

Only recently however, did I stumble across the CUSP website www.cusp.com.  Props to CUSP for a complete retail experience.  Their web site is fantastic and they have a wonderful tab of Looks that pull together complete outfits using really interesting combinations of clothing and accessories. And then they direct link the entire outfit so you don’ t have to surf between categories to find the pieces shown.

If you are looking for a hip store , either on-line or in person that offers interesting pieces in a range of shapes, sizes and styles I highly recommend CUSP.  And if you are starting to think about party dresses for the upcoming holiday season, this is the place to go!

My TJ Maxx Maxxinista Shopping Spree

Shopping with Jaclyn for over 3 hours in TJ Maxx for her Maxxinista Makeover was so much fun. And even though I tried really hard to focus on shopping for her, I managed to fill a shopping cart of my own!

During Jaclyn’s little maxxinista shopping spree, I helped her find some absolutely fabulous pieces including an Elie Tahari blazer that retailed for $400 and was marked down on clearance for only $39.00! If you haven’t seen the video of her shopping spree yet, please go watch it!

I didn’t find any deals quite that amazing, but I did find a couple items I had been on the hunt for!

Here’s what I found for myself…

TJ Maxx Maxxinista Makeover & Shopping Spree

The Fashionable Housewife teamed up with TJ Maxx to give one lucky gal a Maxxinista Makeover!

What is a Maxxinista?

Maxx-in-is-ta: A fashionista who gets it all for much, much less at T.J. Maxx. She’s a confident, savvy women who never pays full price for this season’s hottest fashions.

Department store prices? I think not. Boutiques that break the bank? Bye bye. This is fashion – direct from designers, to you. You can get this season’s latest styles for a lot less from TJ Maxx because they deal directly with the designers.

Now that you’re smart enough to know what’s in style, be savvy enough to know where to get it for less! TJ Maxx is that answer!!

We took the lovely Ms. Jaclyn on a little shopping spree to TJ Maxx in an effort to teach her how she could round out her Fall 2009 wardrobe at TJ’s for less than $300.

(Sorry the video is so dark! I took it with my camera…)

Can you believe she only paid $39.00 for that Elie Tahari Blazer that retailed for $400?!?! We were freaking out with excitement over that one! And it looks so fabulous on her too…

Here are some close up pics of the items she purchased. Click on pictures to enlarge.

I absolutely love the Tahari shoes she got too! They were only like $30 down from $78 I think? And the Betsey Johnson purse was an awesome score. There were like 5 in the store and this was only one marked down to $22. Nothing wrong with it! It’s flawless and soooo pretty in person!
