What To Do When You’re Snowbound…

Well now that I’m stuck in the house because a monster blizzard has descended on Eastern Massachusetts, it seems like a good time to troll the internet for some great post-Christmas deals. BeyondTheRack.com is doing a 12 days of Christmas event and is currently featuring some great deals on Ray Ban sunglasses. There are also some wonderful prices on Prada bags, and a yummy pair of brown suede Prada 5″ heels on BTR.

RueLaLa.com is showcasing 7 For All Mankind and AG jeans, but hurry because the sale ends soon.

DesignerSocial.com has an “Under $200″ tab where you can score some fabulous Alexis Bittar jewelry, as well as some great Dolce & Gabbana shoes. They even have a Prada tote in the “Under $200″ tab, so what are you waiting for!

If you’re feeling rather exotic (and all the snow has inspired you) Jetsetter.com (via GiltGroupe.com) is offering a 12 day cruise to the North Pole aboard a nuclear powered ship, including round trip airfare from Helsinki, Finland for a mere $41,000! It looks really fun, especially the part where you get to see polar bears up close and personal, but as I watch the snow fall and hear forecasts that I’m going to be trapped in my house, possibly without power, for the next 24 hours or so, my thoughts are more tropical right now!

All I want for Christmas….

Dear Santa: I’ve been a good girl this year. Mostly. I tried hard. I accomplished a lot. I didn’t lose my temper (too often). I fed my family healthy food and made sure homework was done and that everyone got to sports and after school stuff and parties on time. I walked the dog and fed the cat and went to the dentist and kept the house reasonably clean. I read the books for book club (well, at least one of them…) and I’ve been friendly to that pesky neighbor whose tiny dog is always barking at me. I recycled. This is what I’d like for Christmas:

Well Black Friday is (almost) over…time to get ready for Cyber Monday. My shopping was quiet and contained today. I browsed on line and bought a fabulous Rebecca Minkoff tote at 60% off (RebeccaMinkoff.com) and then scored a beautiful leather jacket quite by accident at the Garnet Hill Outlet (GarnetHill.com) I love those accidental purchases that end up becoming wardrobe staples!

Lanvin at H&M Starting November 20!

Looks like things might get crazy this weekend at H&M. They are launching their newest designer collaboration with Lanvin November 20, and the press leading up to the opening is crazy! According to one source, H&M will be issuing color coded bracelets to the first 320 people who show up and each color represents a specific shopping time in the Lanvin section of the store. After the first 320 people have had their chance, the store will be opened to the public. The best shopping tip I have read is to scour the dressing areas for unwanted items before they go back to the floor. You never know what treasures you might find there!

I love H&M and I love Lanvin, but I’m not sure I have the emotional energy to weather this shopping extravaganza. I’m thinking I’ll take my chances in a week and see what happens.How about you? Are you planning on clawing your way through the crowds for some great deals on great fashion?
